Anyone Slowing Down

Recommended Posts

Due to the current media banking financial woes, anyone feeling the slowdown? It's not apparent here, in fact more renovations and building then ever. All friends sign shops are busy with overtime.

Our business is up almost 400% and growing faster than we had ever expected. We see people seeing the economic advantage of our products versus the other companies. And we are even seeing some of the big box retailers (Home Depot, Lowes, etc) as interested in carrying our products on their shelf to allow sign companies to go to local hardware stores to buy LED sign and lighting products...expect this in 2009.

Met with California sign company this morning that said that their business in "budget" type stores is booming.

We aren't in a bind - Business was slow for a couple months, but has picked up since August. It helps that we have some great loyal customers opening new stores and calling us for their sign needs. We are a 12 person electrical sign shop and haven't had to resort to cutting back on hours or downsizing employee benefits. We haven't purchased any new equipment - we were looking at a new cnc router, but that can wait.

So the average joe (the plumber) will be able to buy your products for the same price as sign professionals?

Oh no - will be at much higher prices....retail pricing is usually 50-60% higher.
