Who Builds Dunkin Donuts Signs

Recommended Posts

I notice that a company called Global Sign Industries is on the side of the cans but when I call the number it doesn't go throught, also I tried to send an e-mail to them from a address I got from their website and it was bounced back to me. Maybe they're are out of business? Does anyone know who makes the sign we are looking to do the installation for some local stores they are building in our area.

Try Everbrite. I did some DD installs for them a couple years ago. 414-529-3500. I'm sure they still have the account. Don't know if they have the whole US or not. That's a starting point

Hilton Displays did one that I am aware of.

I am with a wholesale manufacture and we have received DD projects for all over. It is my understanding that the owner of each store or the GC has the room to choose their sign vendor. There are a few preferred vendors. I know that Mandeville Signs is one of them. You might be able to talk to the GC and get a chance to produce and install the signs. I hope this helps!

they have approved vendors but nearly anyone can build one...it does not appear to be very controlled. A ton of people list is on their web sites as an 'account'.d

Everbrite is the main vendor. The franchisee typically buys direct from them and they ship to site for some one else to install. Though other companies may do Duncan signs, Everbrite is the only one I know that does the menu boards. We do Duncan in New York for several local franchisee's and buy the menu boards from Everbrite.

In NYC, it could be said that Tim Horton's is building Dunkin Donuts - but those in the south or west would have the joke fly right over their heads ;)

We handle all of South Carolina, most of NC and Georgia. We manufacture and ship to most states in the south east region. Everbrite builds all of their menu boards.

I think Global Sign did go out of business. They were in Santa Ana, California or Orange, CA and I think they moved to Foothill Ranch, CA. I was trying to track them down again recently and had no luck either.

I would not be suprised if Dunkin Donuts cloud signs dont start switching to White LEDs very quickly - just like all other fluorescent cloud signs are.

Dunkin has already changed to LED as of a couple months ago. Everything we do for them anyways...

yes. It is my understanding that Global went out of business. Global was the x president and some others from SRE that left back in 2000 or so. they had some accounts and then suddenly went out of business. I never heard what happened...good luck in your search. Here's a link.

Here is the correct answer direct from Dunkin Donuts interior communication.

Dunkin’ Brands conducted a review of the building signage installed on our stores over the past few months. Based on this review,

EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 15, 2009 all local sign companies may only place fabricated sign orders with the following 6 Dunkin’ Brands

approved manufacturers:

We, South Water Signs, are one of 6 sign companies allowed to make signs for Dunkin. Everbrite is still the only approved vendor for drive thru menu boards. Local installers can still do the install if the 6 approved sign companies are not able. They must follow the following:

As the local hired sign installer, the following is required:

• Site Survey performed and documented to the franchisee and CM for review and guidance

• Brand Book color rendering developed and presented to the franchisee and CM for approval prior to placing fabrication order

• Fabrication of all signs is to be ordered through the above mentioned vendor

• Only the fabrication of Landlord custom non-illuminated signs are approved to be fabricated at the local level (however this does not include non-illuminated Drive Thru Directionals)

• Drive Thru Menu boards will continue to be ordered through Everbrite, who is currently the sole DBI Drive Thru Menu fabricator

contact me if you need Dunkin signs! 847-962-5377 and I will put you in contact with our Dunkin Dept.

thanks.

Hi

Usually you would have to deal with the PM from Dunkin, you need to be on an approved Vendor. But, Everbrite is one of the approved Fabricating vendors.

Hey All,

As posted previously, Everbrite is also a national approved vendor for signs, awnings and menuboards. Please contact our Dunkin Brands Hotline at 414-529-7131 and you will be assisted by one of our Dunkin team members for any questions you may have.

I've built dunkin signs before, but it was all through the franchisee. Corporate didn't have anything to do with the signs. I'm sure Everbrite is an approved fabricator, but it probably only applies to corporate owned sites.. These franchisees in particular, were very difficult to work with.

Winchell's is my choice for a sweet morning treat and by the way we are one of the approved west coast DD Brand suppliers. I thought I would post on this 5 yrs. old thread too.

Never heard of Winchell's. We have a lot of Shipley's in Texas. I think I'm going to have Shipley's instead of DD.. Hell, I may even risk it. And go to one of those Asian ones, who's sign just say's DONUT.

I thought they were national, but never heard of Shipley's either, weird so close yet so far.
