OK, guys and gals, here are some pictures of our sign. This sign is 8' x 8' x 30" deep. It is fabricated out of our Wide Fab Frame. The faces are Cooley flexible face material. It is illuminated with two Halophane lamps. The center pole is covered with a diamond shaped baffle, to distribute the light evenly. I have included a picture of the inside of the sign and a picture of the lamps laid out for service. Not to fancy, but does the job just fine.

I had to take a picture of my front office door for the starter of this thread.... :lol_hitting:

The eye catchers on the flag are pretty phenomenal when the sun and wind are just right. It is truly star-spangled

No, unfortunately flashing signs are not allowed here. But concealed weapons are! :Mafia:

A piece was broken during a hailstorm, and I am easily entertained.

Nice looking sign ------------since I know you wire signs correctly, what did you use for the penetrations on the building with the corrugation?

I was hoping nobody would ask. The border tube on my building was taken down from a video update store. The ones that needed service so often. They were double backs using electro-bits products, and going through the building with flex metal conduit. The signs neon was done in the same manner. I was actually doing a test and installed the neon on top of some Gemini letters. The signs on the front of the building was also a similar type test. I painted the insides of the letters white, cut clear lexan backs, and installed blue led's for a nice halo effect. when the blue halo mixes with the red border tube it turns purple. almost like a 2 tone halo

Oops, sorry. I've installed on corrugated buildings before--at it's a challenge.

no problem. It was a challenge. It also needs service a little more than I would like. It is very effective advertising though. My roof sign has been performing flawlessly for the last 18 years.

I have a tendency to over design and over engineer my signs and designs to where they have to be absolutely perfect and flawless. And a lot of the times they never get done. I am making progress, however

That looks nice and clean, what camera did you use?

LiteGirl, sorry I haven't replied to your query until now. After I posted the pictures of our sign, I had to leave on a sales trip, for three days. So, to answer your question, the camera I used is a small Canon Power Shot, SD 1000. Nothing fancy, but takes decent pictures.

Mike.

Been working on our first solar sign project. Finished it up and it works very well. Just a prototype though. If it were in the field, the battery box would either be under ground or inside a sign cabinet deep enough. Night shots to be uploaded later today.

Here is our sign we are in an industrial area next to a residential area so a lighted sign would not be appropriate

P.S. Today it is 22 degrees and 40mph winds!!!!!!!!!

Guys, really??

All you guys and gals in the sign industry and none of you have signs on your buildings or tall metal trees planted out on the curb to show us? Don't be shy, some of sign guys have the ugliest ones but only make them better for others (because we're being paid for it!) :whistling:

hhaha i agree with you. yeah, seems it's strange that sign company don't use a sign. I don't know why. we make lots of signs for our domestic market and overseas market, but we don't use a sign, you know, the electronic message center(LED Display) either. I one day suggested our boss to use one to display our logo and put that sign on the gate of our factory, but he said, wow, that's a waste, costs lots of money.. hahaha, funny
