A client wants a vinyl banner installed on the roof their office building. Shingles over plywood / pitched roof. I've seen this application but shy away due to obvious potential liabilities (leaks are a pain in the ***). The client is adamant. What is the preferred way to handle this application? Hire a roofing contractor? Are their sign installers that specialize in this type of install? The job is in FLA, South of Orlando.

Tell them up front there is no guarantee that the roof will not leak in that situation and although you will do your best you cannot be held responsible for any leak or damage caused from a leak. If they want you to be totally responsible turn the job down!
