To everyone out there in sign land...BEWARE! Just got notice from Nationwide Sign Service in PA that they can't pay their bill for service work we completed over a month ago for Lane Bryant/Cacique right now. I suggested they get a competent financial officer and that I may have to remove the sign for "safety" reasons. They fired back that we would be in violation of U.C.C code...what is that? Does anyone know? Is there a list out there for "deadbeat" sign service companies?

We don't have a "deadbeat" list so to speak but we do have a National Sign, Service & Associations List. There numerous sign companies who have first hand experience have rated them there. It should give you a heads up on what to expect in relationship and how long to expect to get paid, if that.

I'll be sure to add this company to the list when I get a chance and transfer thread to it

Stay the hell away from them. They have always been slow to pay, and have gotten even worse. They want you to finance their operation, want you to cut them a deal on price, then take forever to pay, and refuse to pay finance charges. Nothing but a bunch of deadbeats.
