Big Huge Welcome

Want to give another big welcome and officially welcome EGL as a Sign Syndicate Board Vendor,

post-3-0-94630200-1311951918.jpg

who has been with the Sign Syndicate testing since it started with The Great White Hope in 2008. Matter of speaking, The Great White Hope was inspired and adopted a lot of what EGL's display cabinet that they used to bring to shows, showing all on lookers light differences between different white Neon lamps and competitive LED companies. Big credit of how we made the GWH tests goes to them. Out of 4,150 members of the SS, they were the 29th member to join. That's a long time dating back to 2005

Well as most know EGL has a lot of lamps in GWH, everything from the halo-phosphate lamp to the Tri-phosphors. Now they are in the GWH with their new Veritas 1 watt LED line, soon to have their 1/2 watt in Project Tighty Whitey, possibly a red in The Red Light District.

A lot of Neon Die hards have frowned upon them recently for releasing their own architectural LED line. But, most don't know that they are the unsung hero's that came to ISA's aid to fight against NEMOA and iMERC in Vermont which banned neon, which wasn't a total loss, but work that soon helped in other states who were looking to ban neon. They still continue to fight to this day for fluorescent and neon lamp technology, you won't hear about it because they aren't vocal about it, most of the time they are given no credit.

EGL is also in our newest comparison and test, Border Security with their Horizon Blue, both in 18mm and 15mm.

In another thread I talked about manufacturers having "Integrity" and standing behind their products, part of that is being here. Along with recently LEDNeon-Flex, you can, and of course always counted on EGL as well.

For more information on their product lines visit http://www.egl-lighting.com/ or contact Sean (Fishing Nut) sean@egl-neon.com / Doug Cortese (dougc)

Great blip for EGL. They have been a stalwart in the industry for years! Unsung heroes in many cases --- ! And speaking of integrity and backbone for the industry - they stand up to their name.

What a nice post to open up to after 2 weeks of fishing and honey-do lists. I remember at the San Diego show when we first met, you liked the A and said you wanted to do something like that and after emails and calls the Great White Hope was born.

Hats off to Erik and Kgirl (couple extra smooches for the queen) for all you have done and for putting up with me at the shows. :syndicate:

There are people who bash us for entering the LED world but we spent many years working on the best moduals we could along with focusing on the NEON industry fighting City hall where we can. We are not in a race to the bottom with pricing because then you have to substitute or even cut things out.

Once the 1/2 watts are out all will be very pleased with the product and the 1 watts are pretty damn bright and efficient.

If anyone has questions give us a call or shoot us a mail.

Yes I was one of the original members and try to spread the word of the sight where ever I go. If you want the facts or honest opinions, excellent networking capabilities the syndicate is the place to go.

As I've said in the past and one day ISA will see the light and agree. "Erik for President"

GOOD things happen for a reason......
