A dxf from Corel to other software

Does anyone have an issue getting clean, vectorized art from Corel to other software packages in dxf format? Most people export a wmf file but it comes into Cad as lots of small line segments. I have a work around to get it clean with lines and arcs. No splines, splines are bad.

Automatically website discusses this same thing. Not real doable, however this post might help...

Google Gsview and download it. It might do the job for you. Once you open it, go to Edit menu>Convert to vector format and convert your EPS file to dxf. You will have to rename the converted file to whatever.dxf. Then you can open and edit it in acad.

If your art is clean in Corel you shouldn't have an issue importing into Flexi using EPS format, for Wizard or AutoCAD use DXF format. DWG also works for AutoCAD. If you need it to be DXF try changing some of your export option setting. For the most part is kindda the same like the other fellaz mentioned.

Thanks, Gary, I will check the Gsview when I get some time.

I have Corel, Flexi, Enroute and CAD and can get the clean art I need. The other guys do not and I am trying to find a work around for them to get clean art from Corel to CAD. Currently they are exporting a WMF but when it comes into CAD it's a million line segments, no arcs.

We ran into a similar situation about a year ago when a vendor we use to cut stainless upgraded their laser cutting software. After changing the settings in Corel multiple times we found the DXFs exported out of EnRoute were suitable for their needs.

      Oh yeah, much smaller than Vegas, and larger than the Atlantic Show.  I usually go annually, but last Vegas show was smaller than usual and saw all in one day.
