Man its cold here

Recommended Posts

It was -9 when we got to work this morning, windchill -27. I know that is not that unusual in some area of the country, but it is really cold for here. We were shutdown on Monday & Tuesday due to a snow storm. We had 13-15 inches here (a big snowfall is 3 inches for us) on Monday and an additional 3 inches on Wednesday. We couldn't even get out of our driveway at home until Tuesday afternoon. Some employees didn't make it in until Wednesday afternoon. Too cold to work outside, just cleaning and straightening the shop, about to run out of things to do.

I worked in Manhattan Beach, Cali yesterday doing some electrical work for a national coffee chain.

77 degrees with a nice breeze and the sun shining warmly on my aching body. Finished early and walked the beach strand and followed up with a walk to the end of Manhattan Beach pier.

The bikinis were out in force and the view was simply outstanding.

I have to go to San Diego today so I think I will stop in Carlsbad and look at the ocean again while enjoying a nice cup of iced coffee.

Best........

Hold on guys, we have our cold snaps as well in Cali.

This weekend it is going to drop to a frigid 70 degrees with a slight chance of sprinkles. I might even have to put on long pants and a sweater. Can you believe that?

But, the downside is this. While I am on the beach, we could get an earthquake and have the coast line fall off into the ocean and me float off into the sunset with my iced coffee in hand.

We haven't worked outside the shop since last Wednesday. Wasn't near as cold last week, but cold enough that everything was frozen. I had customers complaining last week because we hadn't gotten to them. I'm now 10 days behind and I had a full schedule to begin with. This month is going to look rough on the books. Six people here and we may have turned $500.00 thru the vinyl shop since last Wednesday.

Well, it was a little cloudy the other day.

Darn Erik,

We shouldn't have to suffer through these cloudy days. This cold weather is just making it hard to work outside.
