Job Overview
L&H Companies is seeking to fill a Manager of Project Management position.  This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.  The Manager is responsible for leading a 9 -12 person Project Management team consisting of Project Managers and Coordinators.  Responsibilities include the assignment and oversight of varying vertical market contracts to the appropriate project manager, ensuring the proper financial health, schedule and completion of work scope. 

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·       Position requires high level management and leadership abilities

·       Generate schedules for bid opportunities and attend de-scope meeting representing PMO team

·       Work with Sales and Estimating to determine client expectations

  • Assess projects and allocate appropriate resources
  • Assist with the project vetting and budgeting process
  • Ensure operational efficiency within the project management department through strong processes and communication

·       Oral and written communication skills are vital to developing and maintaining successful working relationships with all stakeholders, department managers and staff employees

  • Provide mentorship to the project management team, aiding in their professional growth and building our talent pipeline
  • Seek out and evaluate potential vendor and partner relationships

·       Strong work ethic and ability to oversee multiple PMs and their projects

·       Managing budgets, timelines and monthly WIP reporting

·       Maintaining client relationships as leadership support when required

·       Work closely with Design, Engineering, Production and Installation management on daily basis

·       Resolve any issues that may arise with the projects

·       Track project information in the database and provide timely and accurate status reports to clients and management

·       Oversee and ensure timely and accurate billing is executed

·       Work with upper management in strategizing for continued growth

 

Experience Requirements:

·       Five years’ verifiable experience as a Project Management Manager employed in the sign, construction or corporate identification industries

·       Five to eight years as a Project Manager employed in the sign, construction or corporate identification industries

 

Qualifications

·       Degree in Project Management or Construction Management preferred

·       Ten years’ industry experience in construction, signage manufacturing, and / or specialty metals construction / fabrication

·       Willingness to travel based on client needs

·       Excellence in client communications / customer relations / staffing

·       Experience in people management, scheduling, estimating and installation coordination highly desired

·       Computer savvy, MS Office, ERP and MS SharePoint proficiency

·       The ability to provide direction and take suggestions in an open collaborative manner

    • Well w-d 4o works well the wax is difficult, sounds like your leaving way to much meat to be taken off. 1/16” is about max for a 1/4”” bit. Not much if any lube will be needed if the bits sharp, just squirt the bit be fore starting so to keep the starting chips from sticking. Clean the bit and repeat for each letter. 
    • I checked and yes, it's a true 1 3/8" punch.   The one on the left is the 1 3/8" and the one on the right is 1 5/16" (which I forgot that I had).  The blue tape in the photo is holding the "wings" for the punch.   IIRC the 1 5/16" was for small glass housings.      Anyway, still looking.   Will trade a good D punchor cash or other sign "stuff".
