Started with the manufacturers in my opinion as they all wanted an edge over the other guy. What does UL approval on a glass tube support mean when the part hasn't changed in 50 years. The industry needs to tell UL to get lost and start using folks like MET, etc. Technically UL must recognize these marks and can't do anything to anyone using them but they will make life rough for a time. I believe Phillips Electronics told UL to get lost a long time ago and they won't use them ever as far as i know. UL is crushing everyone and they have to be stopped.

Part of the problem is UL is also pushing Neon out the door. They try and dictate everything we do but we are letting them do it. We need to revolt and say out with UL.
