The best leads for work are former customers. The second best is exposure in your local community. My company belongs to three chambers, two business owner groups, the Elks Lodge, VFW, Marine Corps League, American Legion, DAV, I'm on the board of directors for our local symphony and the S.A.F.E. House. While I give a lot of work away for free, I end up with tens of thousands of dollars of new work each year as a result of belonging and networking with these organizations. The third best is your web site and membership with Sign Search. The last is the yellow pages. I'm currently in four different yellow page books and I'm going to shrink all ads to the smallest possible next year.
