Perhaps this explains their push for next months SD conference where they hope to get the National Sign Companies who will join to assist with the crane certification drive>>>>>from their subs. It's probably not doing good because who wants to pay by adding into the cost of doing business?

I understand - and obviously you don't know me. I don't know you either - but would bet that I did neon for a longer time period and would still be doing it except for those f'ing doctors.
And note, I wasn't defending those led folks - they defend themselves just as fast as they step on their proverbial "dicks". And they do that just fine. I was defending EGL - and this topic is "EGL"
I know both of ya and your both Top shelf and beyond, Gary is a world of knowledge, wish I would have met ya while you were bending in Az. and Randy you are a hell of a craftsman (if anyone has glass that needs to be made give him a shout you will not be disappointed.)
The nice thing about this site is everyone gets along (with a few jabs) which is fun once in a while.
Erik does have our moduals for the test. I really cant talk about them on here yet but if you have questions give me a call or shoot me a mail. One thing I can say is that we are not in a race to the bottom with price or quality. It took close to 5 years to do these and they are not "private labeled".
Dave (mr green) You will see the results.
well, Gotta go bend some glass. A quality made tube will outlive anyone reading this post, a hack will only give a black eye for everyone else.
Looking forward to seeing the results >>>>>>don't mistake my posts about your leds as skepticism. Fact is, I'm very optimistic>>>>>just don't want to see your company skirt away like a few do from this site. Matter of fact, I'm surprised why this site is not supported enough by more manufacturers>>>>>>this site does a whole hell of a lot more for the sign world than our glorious sign magazines, why drop coin and buy dinner for a whore when you have a good girl right here>>>>>>a shame. Lastly, I'm not >>>>>>David Green

I look forward to seeing how they compare to everyone else>>>>>>

How come the new EGL leds are not in the testing here? >>>>>>>>>>I was expecting to see them this month. When will they be in?
-
Too early to tell>>>>>>>saw them at ISA and they look bright, will be interesting to see how they do in the testing here on this site. Speaking of which>>>>>>>>will they or are they already in for this months report?
-
I don't have this months issue, is this really where ISA wants to steer the ship to? >>>>

Everyone has to compete I understand, the problem is there is just too many LED's in the market place>>>>>> Got word with the another neon company EGL gone LED, France too>>>>>>lets review, France has been there before and failed, only Technolux is left>>>>>>>> How are service companies stocking there trucks these days??? I understand LED's are here to stay and not going anywhere, how many will he have?>>>>>>

Any update from the GE people or the Community Organizer? =====likes that coined name!
-
Very interested in reading about this and I have not received my issue either yet>>>>>like anything else I'm sure there are pros and cons to be played in all lighting types even in this study >>>>this site has surely shown that to be true

Update from Harbinger?

Looking at how this org is over 8 years old I doubt it will go anywhere unless the engines of influence are going to rev the motors======= those entities can look at it as advertising money spent if they so choose.
The good ol' boys will always be just that====good ol' boys! Good thought, what a perfect way to be scribed into "green"....!!!

It simply boggles the mind.

What Temperature lamps are you using?

In closing.
What's confusing to me after reading this report is what ISA's position is in all of this? I don't see any fight in them, when I say a "fight" I don't mean going to a city hall and fighting an ordinance. I mean fighting a MOVEMENT. I hope there are those at ISA willing to speak up and do so if this is an ideology shared by various hierarchy, it's going to be hard to turn down a lot of money they can get from both sides of Manufacturer & Sign Companies. I hope there isn't an intention to roll over and play dead, use this crisis as a way to capitalize on "programs" to get us to follow along with the "changes" or to show us how "wrong" we are. Because this is how this report is coming across. Change how you and I do and conduct business. Instead of making/creating programs for those paid/unpaid members, maybe they should start to financially back a group that has the bigger picture for our industry well in hand. Yes ISA has done some good in the past, not denying that and sometime too little too late because they are wrapped (no pun intended) in the WOW of another light source.
RINGER! You just hit that nail on the head with a two handed sludge hammer >>>>>> They can't even afford to lose money on this and not a fight they would want to ever take up. Good comments on everything else too.

This was really interesting - I acutally learned something! Thanks for the great info, all!
Me too>>>>I thought small lamp fixtures would be affected by missin glamps, Its probaby safe to say because I have the thought of inductive ballasts in my head

Why does something tell me there is something in the background after knowing the full thread of this that there was a thought that you wouldn't take a shot over their bow for this article>>>>>>>>>> Fraggle, thats funny>>>>

YESCO, a Leader in the Electric Sign and Lighting Industry, Expands Through Franchising
in General Message Board

This is the idea of a franchise, not YSC per say. So failing as a franchise of YSC is likely if not manned with the right talent. YSC will obtain a significant franchise fee paid by the new franchisee>>>>>>>I'm sure one hard to pass over even in these times. A small few week crash course on our industry promises nothing and even more so if you don't now what the hell you are doing>>>>>>>Franchise's burn all the time, being dependent on nothing more than a name. I understand it's the assumption YSC, won't let it's name go but this is a money deal where as stated before>>>>>equipment will be sold>>>>>and recycled for a new buyer>>>>
