    Great work Eric, and fantastic documentation of the process. Amazing how the neon has sufficient lumen output to really pop the black faces to stunning white at night. Nice job!

    I've known Garett for about 15 years. Without exception he's always very gracious whenever our paths cross, whether he has a question for me or I have one for him. I visited his shop in the late 1990's and was amazed by both his passion for fluorescent lighting and his level of technical expertise. He's in a different league than virtually everyone else in the industry. I'll be praying for successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

    Nice job laying out the facts Eric. I was thinking the same thing as I read the article in Signs of the Times. The energy savings with LED are miniscule and really insignificant when compared to the initial project cost. Plus the sign isn't as bright and I think it just doesn't look as good as it would have if it was remade with neon. Seems like we have another case of someone being sold the idea that they need the latest technology without taking the time to figure out whether the new technology is actually better in their appilcation.
