  1. With no offense meant, looking at Mr. Rojko"s linked in background, I'm not quite convinced of his stellar ability to make that statement. But, I like the keeping of the sign...
  2. While I love the idea of saving the sign.....I surely don't understand the concept that at 16ft the red neon is not there?
  3. Oh man, another treaty super guy is gone. Truly a wonderful person, and a good friend.
  4. C'Mon guys -- it probably wasn't a "how to" video as much as it was a "watch Kgirl trim cap" video! Personally speaking it isn't a bad request! I mean who would watch Eric trim cap?
  5. I know, I know. I'm a day early. Will be at work super early in morning so wanted to wish the boss man, Eric, a great birthday, and a busy, wonderful year!! Keep ruffling those feathers, and doing great looking signs.

  7. Only that he's the last, best and only bender left. Feels that if he doesn't teach someone that neon is a dead thing.
  8. Eric.. Any false accusations to my demise are exaggerated. Dont want to steal your thread, but, thanks for reminding me that neon is 360 degrees! I'd forgotten that! Ha. However, again your sign is gorgeous, but to remind Pat, and others, especially using led products, the background, as you stated is SO important!! I came really close to buying a neon plant, with 15k pounds of glass. Just the expense, time to establish a going business was a bit too much for this time in life. Would have been fun doing neon again.....and then I could compete with the last, best, and only bender post that I made. Fun to teach again. Sign companies here in TN are like Chicago, either I'm over qualified, or they found someone more experienced?? Again great sign. For reference, what distance was your standoff on the letters?
  9. My son sent me this link for a laugh... http://uproxx.com/life/human-series-coors-ryan-eastlyn/
  10. Had a heck of time figuring out to post a new topic. Just heard that my good friend, and a great friend of sign business, Herb Moulton died last weekend. What a loss for the industry!
  11. Nice job....as expected from you. What was stroke of letters abd number of rows of leds?
  12. When I was in chicago, had a company drop off a cardboard container, several actually. Lexan, colored, and crap stuff. Wacker the faces up and dropped them in. We didn't want a shipping container. Guy came every week for pickup.
  13. She's slowing down, so you have more time? FOR what?? Never mind thst. A pencil? That's the highlight? Wow. Thst has to be a new low. I only hope your private talks were more exciting and productive. A pencil? Did I say "wow!" Was Ushio there? YOU Talk To THE USSC person that's a member now? Was good old Herbie, MASTERS tech, there? Talk to Mike Sweet about your neon problem? David Ablon about their hard glass? Any new any new interest in the SS? Sd ounds like a boring show and I wasn't there to blame. Glad you made it though, and spent quality time with Minnie.
  14. As far as the show, nothing new, cool, exciting, or different to report on? Any discuss neon needs with the mfgs that used to produce our stuff? ANY CONVERSATIONS with sign companies about the SS radical approach to wanting to be paid, not to freebie inspections, or illegal sub contracting? Any stated complaints from the mainstream about the lovely Kirsten sign videos? Any floor talk about nationals learning that 45 day payment is only 1 day after 44? Nothing at all? There had to be something that someone noticed!! Elliott new toys? Anything?
  15. Oh come on Eric, fess up! You went to party with Mickey and Minnie! Does Sound LIKE YOU HAD Fun Even If YOU "had" TO go. YOU keeping us In SUSPENSE IS killing us.
  16. That's it? I get all excited about battle, and then get let down, like a bad ending in a book. However, I can say, whatever the battle. Its been battled before. His tory always repeats itself.
  17. Could always use led bulbs, with dimmer yo achieve chasing without so much brash light. Going to have lots of brightness from neon also, being indoors. Dimmers would help that as well.
  18. Nice. You fixing the neon also?
  19. Hope all you attendees enjoy the show, and the camaraderie. Have a good mai-tai.... If you run across any of my old cronies - assuming any are still alive - tell them Hi. Gary Nutting
