Production Manager Custom electric sign company in Northern California is seeking a production/plant manager to help us grow the business. We’re a well-respected, established company with an immediate need for a manager to oversee the sheet metal, plastics, glass and paint departments. The individual will have a minimum 5 years management experience in a manufacturing industry and have a good understanding of the manufacturing process and materials. Hands-on a must and bilingual a plus. A team player that is also self-motivated. Some of the basic job duties and responsibilities are listed below. oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule ensure that the production is cost effective making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality working out the human and material resources needed set the quality standards, zero errors monitor the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed monitor product standards and implementing quality-control programs liaising among different departments, e.g., suppliers, department leads work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed supervising and motivating a team of workers, including the purchasing agent oversee maintenance of equipment review the performance of subordinates, including administrative assistant identify training needs other duties as needed This full-time, exempt position offers a competitive salary and full benefits.
