  1. We are getting a New CNC. Need to make room!! We have had a Gerber Advantage 600 since 2018. We were the second owners of it. It was fully upgraded in 2015 by CNC Experts w/high performance stepper motor driver, belts, motors, and gearboxes. When I bought it, CNC Experts came here to help us set it up. All works very well, except the Vacuum Hold-down motor went bad. The table has "T-Slots" and we have the holders that work in those slots. Looking to move it ASAP. Willing to part it out (Spindles, Spindle Controller, Gerber Gantry Controller, etc.) if not one wants it all. IF you are still using one of these, here are some nice back up pieces for you. We have no set price in mind so make me an offer. Please email me at plyda@isignaffects.com with interest and we will see what can be done.
  2. Can you just paint or flood the back with white vinyl and still use?
  3. What is the make of the pumping station? Do you know which burners are in there? I am interested and in Ohio.
  4. Thanks Paul, we will/would do that. Just wondered if anyone else had experience with them.
  5. Hi All! We have been approached directly by store mgmr to do some work on their signs. They will not pay a deposit. Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) working with them regarding payments?
  6. 3 hours simple sign band and tenant panels only! > Order write up (where at and what is needed), > Travel (if 25 minutes from shop that eats an hour of the day), > pics, > set machine, PPE, measurements, building face material and color. > move set and repeat > transfer images >rewrite numbers to make presentable > sent all pics with measurements and invoice.
  7. Good Question/topic! We cover Central Ohio. We know that Atlas does the CVS Stores. We know that Custom Sign Center in Columbus does most Wendys. It would be great to get some kind of list.
  8. Go to harbor freight and get a predator. That way when it gets dropped out of the truck you will not cry as hard! LOL
  9. Fairmount Signs used to do them, not sure if they still do.
  10. They are the best place for Sky Hooks and Sky Hoist. They bought out most of the parts for many of those models and nearly any repair facility would go through them so i am told. Call them up, maybe they have a relationship with someone near you.
  11. According to my research, it is not required if your lifting capacity is less than 2000 pounds. Since our sky-hook and jib are both rated for 2000 so i have not pursued the certification.
  12. Not sure how many heard of this in Florida last week. It made the news here in Ohio. Hits home with my crew as we do many of these type of installs. Also hits home with my school sales guy as he says that he has lost many install deals as the team boosters decide it costs too much and they will do it themselves. Sad. https://people.com/human-interest/baseball-coach-and-wife-electrocuted-putting-up-new-scoreboard-son-injured/
  13. OMG!! Where do you start.... Ladder in Bucket, Aluminum Ladder working on electric sign, and to top it off ladder is propped against DOOR of bucket! At least he has a harness on ? but it almost looks like it is not attached... GIT 'ER DONE!
  14. We have done it both ways. The outlines are nice for quoting but we don't do enough new quotes to justify the expense. Most of our vehicle stuff is for repeating customers so design and files stay pretty consistent.
  15. Thanks ALL! Some great ideas. BTW we use a lot of Gorilla tape. It works great as long as the temp is higher than 35 degrees.
  16. Thanks! Did not think of the reuse part regarding coro. Love the idea! What spray adhesive have you found to work best? What speed do you run the spindle at.... Assuming very slow. ?
  17. Thanks Rocco! I like the idea of the tape to make a hem and then staples. We have done the cardboard trick with tapcons as well.
  18. Hi ALL! Hope everyone had a great Holiday Season!! Question for the install crowd. Wondering if anyone has a good solution for hanging patterns on Masonry (stone or brick) and/or EIFS in weather below 40 degrees. We have tried several different tapes and such over the years but have not found a good solution as of yet. Thanks in advance.
  19. Oh My!!!! ????????????????? That is truly original! Was there a UL sticker on it also??
  20. Search under glass blowing equipment. That should produce alot of the tourches and burners.
  21. Good questions... cant wait to see what the more experienced members have to say. We have not had luck unless it was >50 degrees outside.
