  1. Thanks for all the replies. I made one this morning and am running a test now to see how it looks.
  2. Does anyone have a wood grain vector file to carve sign foam on router. I have looked and can't seem to find this. I know they are out there, I just can't seem to find it. It's to give the appearance of wood grain on sign foam. Thanks
  3. It was crazy all around me here in Kentucky. 7 people died withing 30 mile radius of me. 1 small town totally destroyed lots of other damage. Lots of sign damage as well.
  4. All the major sign truck suppliers are making trucks that reach higher and are under CDL. We had an Izuzu that had a Baker-Achi on it that went to 85FT. Under CDL and drove like a pickup. Had the latest safety features. We sold it when we got out of installations. Great little truck. There are some pics on here someplace.
  5. I don't use Sloan so I'm not sure about them. A sales rep came in the other day telling me about a new brand they were carrying. Looked like a JS knockoff. But theu did warranty for 5 years and pay labor up to a certain amount. You did have to go online and register the sign and the customer.
  6. Other people are starting to do this. One LED vendor just recently switched from a fee based to a free labor warranty.
  7. I think JS Crane is just a dealer in different used inventory of service type trucks. I've seen their ads for a long time.
  8. I would love to see it in action as well. Looks liken they don't have a YouTube video of it yet. There are many times that I would like to have another person trim capping.
  9. I use the Advance 12 watt and 60 watt units. I pay 39.00 for the 60 watt. But, I do buy a lot of them. I use US LED and typically buy them by the case. But, they can be purchased by the foot. I have to agree on the neon benders. Most that I have dealt with over the years are not your average employee or vendor. I am sure there are many professional neon benders. It's just been my mis-fortune to not be able to find them.
  10. Has anyone heard the pricing on the new Accu Form machine that Computerized Cutters has introduced recenlty. I have an Accu Bend and the clincher. Anybody have one yet or know anything about it?
  11. Hey, the guy is out working and trying to make a living. If he has a permit and qualified to work, I say go for it.
  12. Somebody approved it, maybe even demanded it. I've built ugly signs and tried to steer the customer in a better direction to no end but build what they ask for. I have no idea, I just hate to jump on another sign co without knowing what happened.
  13. This is what happens when too many people have input on a project. We sold a sign to a large church a few years back and there was differences of opinion on the sign and everything about it. The committee chose a design and signed off on it. As soon as it went up the other factions went over it with a fine tooth comb. I don't know if they ever got over it or not. I got a check. This could be a similar situation.
  14. We always get our flex faces printed on both sides just for this reason.
  15. I'm noticing that wen I come to SS my browser tab says "this tab has been recovered". I'm running Explorer 8.
  16. You're going to have to seam the vinyl anyway if its that big. I would plan the seams to work with my vinyl seams. We cut the two pieces to fit tightly together and then use a piece of clear on the backside and glue it with Weld on #14. It dries clear whereas the the instant set glues dry a milky white. You can see it up close but, 30 ft in the air, you can't.
  17. Today in Lexington, KY, gas - 3.39, deisel - 3.60's. Cost me $80.00 to fill up my Ford F-150 last night.
  18. Question, I know a typical 60 watt led driver pulls 0.7 amps @ 120 volts. How many amps does a neon transformer (7500/30 or 60) pull @ 120 volts.
  19. The way it's sagging he probably installed it too.
  20. When you decide check out TigerDirect.com I buy all my conputer related stuff there.
