  1. Sr. Production Manager After 60 years, Academy, Inc. is opening a new division—a large format, environmental graphics and display operation in the San Francisco Bay Area. Academy, Inc. has been producing awnings and fabric structures for architects, contractors and retail clients for many decades and is seeking an exceptional Sr. Production Manager to setup and manage the Northern California graphics production operation. Above average pay and benefits will be compensated to the right individual. Sr. Production Manager Job Duties: Objective: To make sure the production operations are setup efficiently and operate smoothly. · Understand and implement all production systems to enable proper training of production personnel. This includes the ability to operate the printers, CNC cutter and general tools and equipment. · Hire and manage production personnel. · Manage job workflow from P.O. to RIP to print/fabricate/finish to installation/delivery. · Develop and implement protocols and training programs · Regular purchasing and make equipment recommendations. · Assist with production when required (less and less over time) · Work closely with the owners to create a productive, enjoyable and positive work environment for everyone. Recommended skills and attributes: · A great attitude! · Must be very independent but able to work side-by-side the owners and the production personnel when necessary. · The ability to mentor the production and installation staff is helpful. · Minimum 5 years as a production manager, project manager or similar responsible role. · Minimum of 3 years in production, fabrication, construction or hand-on experience. · Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the large format printing industry. · A minimum of three great professional references. · CAD and Adobe Illustrator skills desired but not required. · If you meet most or all of the above and can juggle four chainsaws while calmly addressing client requests, please apply (the latter is optional).
