Not taking anything away from this site. It's my favorite. Just wondering what other sign related websites there are that have a neon forum and for sale forum.

These are the ones I have, but I know there are others:

Sorry I thought you were just wanting to sell something. I don't see any high traffic neon forums. I know of a forum if you want to "sharpen" your sign painting skillz. :mf_tongue::focus:

I think most electric sign guys are to busy to be on forums. I don't know any neon guys personally who even visit any boards. I know quite a bunch here where I live and thier reaction is "Forums?!?!" wazzat? :D

Maybe it's just me but sometimes i'd prefer to have sociall conversation with people I have things in common with than give away any trade secrets to open public :mf_tongue::mf_tongue:

What kind of a board is this? An accident that's for sure, but it's paid for. :gay:

I'm still trying to figure it out between phone calls.

I'd rather have a small board with a few people filled with good lean conversation (liek this one) like in my other off trade forum boards. Less moderation and hassle. I also don't have to deal with a business aspect of adverts. I love my job and what i do and what i create. Okay less halloween candy on next post :crazy_pilot:

Yeah, I know some like that too. Hey, we wouldn't want them to actually learn anything new that may make them better and faster "neon technicians", now would we? Or get feedback on new products before thay lay down their money to try them. Or... Well, you get the point! :pillepalle:

I've done the same thing, spoken with the benders that I deal with about this board and the Neon Forum, about questions raised, points made, etc. I've even brought up the strictly technical boards like Neon Benders BBS (which, btw, I've not been able to post on for some time now and Kenny must be awfully busy, because he isn't responding to my emails). The benders I speak to seem interested, but I know they don't take the 10 minutes a day to at least "read the boards". I've learned an awful lot on these boards , and have been able to apply the new found knowledge, and I've been in the trade longer than most. (Travis, if you so much as mention how old I must be again, my Uncle Vinnie will be paying you a visit. He knows where you live.) The servicemen (we're now called 'service techs' - impressive, huh) I know don't visit either. I can think of only 2 reasons why they don't. They already knowitall, or they don't give a shit. Their, and their customers', loss.

Hi,

Yes I just started Sign-Shops.com a couple days ago. Basically the site is mainly for advertising your sign business, articles and information.

It's a B2B site for everything related to the sign industry. So far it looks like it's taking off pretty good. The only thing is getting quality articles posted to the forum. Finding sign related articles that are not copyrighted or getting authors to post is one goal right now.

I have lots of responses for people to become moderators so far and traffic has increased probably 10 fold since yesterday.

We'll see how it goes... If you guys have any suggestions I am open. I have tried to think of every category but if you see something that isn't there don't hesitate to let me know about it. Anything related to the sign industry is welcome.

I am sure you are stressing enough as to why business owners are calling on an electrical shop to work on signs. Afterall you electricians are trained to work on wall outlets not the signs. Did not know if this is what you are looking for, but this is a site I created for the Sign Industry. Mainly out of frustration of finding quality and qualified vendors. Has yet to disappoint.

Basically it is a marketplace for vendors and buyers of signs and sign related products.

You can post request for products or auction(sell) your goods.

We are still building content and have had good response.

      Oh yeah, much smaller than Vegas, and larger than the Atlantic Show.  I usually go annually, but last Vegas show was smaller than usual and saw all in one day.
