Saw Blade Recommendations

Recommended Posts

Anybody have any suggestions on some 8" blades used for a panel saw to cut substrates like Acrylic/PVC? Aluminum too

Thanks

I used to get them from safety speed cut and get ripped. I just replaced mine with one I got from my local fastener store. Not sure of the brand but its a 60 tooth non ferrous blade. Its awesome

as many teeth as possible. I do have good luck with the standard blade that goes on the cordless 20 V saws. just gotta be going full bore before hitting it.

carbide tipped blades are the best choice--60 or more teeth are the best

feed at a moderate speed to avoid chipping

too fast and you will get ragged edges

put the aluminum between some hard board or thin plywood to get a cleaner cut

make sure this sandwich is pushed down against the back board firmly

Diablo sounds about right, HomeDepot special about $45, I use it for abs but after a couple hundred cuts it starts sticking to the sides, but maybe I'm asking for too much.

We bought drill bits and saw blades from " Bad Dog " Tools. You see them at the sign shows. Drilling and cutting everything and anything. We have good luck with them and just returned a chipped saw blade.

They replace any item FREE ..no questions asked. Baddogtools.com

We have been using their tools for years and no issues
