Friday we had a small intimiate gathering at Buffalo Wild Wings. Come to find out there are 3 Buffalo Wild Wings and everyone showed up at the wrong location, lol. Sorry, but I did leave directions.
It was cool of Dave Hovey from France to show up.

IMG 0512

We bar hopped afterward and also wound up at ISA's party at BB King's, we got there late made it one of our stops but they had an awesome cover band playing and a few people from the SS recognized us in the darkness and came up to talk. I know....could I at least smile?

IMG 0515

Friday we actually had to work.

IMG 0525

But not without a little goofing off from yours truly

and of course not BEFORE her daily dose of coffee

CYA later Orlando, back to Sunny D!!

All in all we had fun, though it was s small, slow show as they usually are in Orlando. If you're an ISA member you probably really appreciated the ISA Rocks party at BB Kings, which was probably better than that end of show, elevator music atmosphere party that they sometimes throw for the last day of a show.
We had fun, we made more vacation out of it than working, but then again the sign industry has never ever felt like work to me in the first place.

Unless you have to go to the show, which I did, I had to iron out some details with some individuals on some things (The only reason why I went), it's expensive to go just to go if you just want to stroll. I'd wait for the Vegas shows being on the West Coast

Oh come on Eric, fess up! You went to party with Mickey and Minnie!

Does Sound LIKE YOU HAD Fun Even If YOU "had" TO go. YOU keeping us In SUSPENSE IS killing us.

Don't know about Mickey but I was with Minnie  well.....a very naughty version anyway.

I wish I could talk and say what I'd like to, like I usually do. But I'm being asked not to, and i have a gag order placed on me . :damm:

I think for once, a very special thing :big_boss: is going to be coming to this electric sign industry. It is a going to be a movement, but movements take involvement, if you think some do not like me now, there will be a few more added to that pile because things ARE going to change. It will take courage and aggressiveness by a few on their end before it "can" be presented to the industry. There is a good vision, now it just needs to be executed.

As far as the show, nothing new, cool, exciting, or different to report on? Any discuss neon needs with the mfgs that used to produce our stuff? ANY CONVERSATIONS with sign companies about the SS radical approach to wanting to be paid, not to freebie inspections, or illegal sub contracting? Any stated complaints from the mainstream about the lovely Kirsten sign videos? Any floor talk about nationals learning that 45 day payment is only 1 day after 44? Nothing at all? There had to be something that someone noticed!! Elliott new toys? Anything?

Haha, that's funny.

Believe it or not the most interesting thing besides Dave bringing his awesome monster 120' Elliott was a graphite pencil that lasts 20 years, with never needing to sharpen

Did you just mention Neon??? No more talk about Neon at the show, that doesn't exist at ISA and Neon is some other industries trade or redheaded stepchild, no one goes to ISA looking for anything Neon, c'mon now Gary!!

One thing will always be constant when it comes to shop talk at ISA in our presence,...."you're National Sign & Service Company discussion is what we live by". Never my intention to do so but an import byproduct I can't relate to, so it's there to serve even though I could live without :P

As for Kirstie and videos, sadly we have not done one in a couple of years, and I always say that will change but the opposite is reality, THIS must change. Truth be told, more people stopped us in passing because they recognized me from my avatar photo <----------- than her from video's that she has not done in some time :mf_tongue:

Before this show and when she was active, I was just simply the Side Show Bob, the B Side, they dude standing next to her, who was mostly cropped out or you would see half my face when they took pics.

She's starting to slow down a little with her regular job, and I'm finding myself with some more time, so I think....THINK we will have one out in the next month. HAHHAhaha, I keep saying the same thing I have been for the last few years.

I guess when we put it out you can say I did what I said I was going to do, until then :BlahBlah: :BlahBlah: :BlahBlah:

She's slowing down, so you have more time? FOR what?? Never mind thst.

A pencil? That's the highlight? Wow. Thst has to be a new low. I only hope your private talks were more exciting and productive. A pencil? Did I say "wow!"

Was Ushio there? YOU Talk To THE USSC person that's a member now? Was good old Herbie, MASTERS tech, there? Talk to Mike Sweet about your neon problem? David Ablon about their hard glass? Any new any new interest in the SS?

Sd ounds like a boring show and I wasn't there to blame.

Glad you made it though, and spent quality time with Minnie.

It was a VERY cool Pencil Gary!

The private talks are always, well you know, private and uh.

Oh and, you will never see Ushio at ISA again Gary BUT....

I did get to see them a few days later!

I was at two conventions in one week, just a few days later back in sunny San Diego I was at the Light Fair

Kirstie and I have been working, actually WORKING! LoL

No USSC people at ISA that I know of, but I will be there at their show 1st time ever in December.

Funny you mention it, Herbie did go, I did not know he was going but we have been playing phone tag since the show and I guess he missed his flight back to AZ....whoops. I have a feeling he doesn't like email, either.

The ISA show is good I suppose if you're into printing and EMC boards, oh and 3 diode LED modules from new companies that were not there from the previous show(s). In general if you're in the electric sign industry most sat it out as evident, unless you're just there to socialize / play golf.
