  1. Hey, is anyone attending Infocomm in Orlando? I will be working the event at VDWall booth 5965 if you want to stop by! I know it's more of an AV show but there are a lot of LED Display vendors there.
  2. This was my first show and I learned a lot of great information. I was able to see the designs from many of the top companies, and it was nice to see a lot of the companies there actually using the same modules that I will be using. I learned a lot about the challenges I will be facing when I finally go for UL. I talked to the guy in charge of ordering for EBSCO and he told me more things than anyone at the actual expo.
  3. Yeah I wasn't trying to sell the leds on here, so I probably shouldn't have mentioned them. My only focus is being a high quality EMC manufacturer. I just thought since I have so many connections in china I should use it to my advantage. I know most people hate Chinese products but I'm sure you know the real products are made in china too. Not all china products are complete shit, although it seems that most are.
  4. Will probably just eBay / amazon them for people doing little projects or lighting in a restaurant bar, etc.
  5. The cost I will sell these for is about 30 cents. My signs do not use these because I only do led message boards, not channel letters. I will carry the good ones and the cheap ones. I just ordered these because I have a sign company that wants them.
  6. For a UL listed shop, does every sign have to be UL? Can't you choose not to use a UL sticker for a smaller client? My friends shop uses MET, and he's using these things, but I don't recall him putting a met label on them when he finished. He said different cities have different sign requirements
  7. Just ordered 3000 of these last night, they seemed to work pretty well from testing. I mean these are SMD5050 LED's, very common. I can't see them all randomly breaking. I'll send you guys some sample strips so you can try them out, I'll cover shipping costs, etc. Completely free. PM me your info.
  8. This particular strip that I posted is not UL listed, and the price reflects that. I will get UL listed strips!
  9. I already asked the administrator of the board and she said that I am not allowed to provide any products to the memebers here because I am not a board vendor. Also, providing meanwell power supplies to the members will take away from the Axiom sales of the board, so I fully understand their reasoning and will comply. Maybe if I am able to provide other components to you guys that do not directly compete with anyone I will be allowed. I am not trying to make any money off of you guys, just trying to get a lower cost for me too. I retail power supplies on amazon and that's working well for me, I am the cheapest seller of meanwell power supplies on both ebay and amazon. Also, you say they are cheaper than meanwell, but if you buy enough meanwell I am sure you can get the cost down low enough to be competitive. If I order 500 PCs directly from meanwell I can get LPV-60-12 for $10.
  10. I am manufacturing LED signs still, but I've been sourcing components, mainly meanwell power supplies, for my local sign companies. I have been able to save them a lot of money on products they already buy. I was just trying to find out some good brands I can start stocking for them. I am not allowed to sell any of the components to you guys though, I already asked.
  11. Just curious what brands of power supplies, ballasts, and led strips everyone uses. I import a lot of components from china so I pay a fraction of the cost.
  12. Sorry if this already posted but, who's going? I'm getting a hotel in orlando on the 24th - 26th. I also have an invitation for N. Glantz howl at the moon on the 25th from 7:00 - 12:00 but the 25th is my birthday so I might skip that.
  13. Louvered with screen vents is the plan. Definitely need the screen vents, that's for sure. The signs will not get any water/bugs in them when it's all said and done. As far as a completed product, It should be done and installed in about 2 weeks.
  14. Does anyone here have a brand of Louver press they recommend? I'm going to need this for my LED Signs.
