I notice that a company called Global Sign Industries is on the side of the cans but when I call the number it doesn't go throught, also I tried to send an e-mail to them from a address I got from their website and it was bounced back to me. Maybe they're are out of business? Does anyone know who makes the sign we are looking to do the installation for some local stores they are building in our area.

Basic channel letter installation

How much does everyone charge to install a set of channel letters on a raceway? I get emails from all over the U.S. but i never get the job when i quote them a price of $450. To me, that seems pretty decent. Survey at $100 and staff time for permit at $100. I want to know how everyone else does it.

How do you all go about bidding projects? Do you use a lead generator like one offered by many online sites or do you chase them down yourself? I wold really like to get some more invitations to bid but I don't have time to go knocking on their doors every week to see what is out there. If that is what it takes then I guess I need to look into hiring a sales person...........any advice would be welcomed, PM me if you like.

Hello,

I'm looking for bids to install a 22’-7 ½” Wide x 8’-3” tall wall mural. Material will be an adhesive backed wall paper (Probably Korographics Material) Wall will be primed and sanded by the subcontractor. This is a high end project and there will be an a lot of eyes on it. The installer would have to bring their A game. Time frame for install would be mid October.

We are a small shop so have never needed to outsource installs out of our area but we have a project now where I need survey, permit, and install help in 3 or 4 locations. I looked at the service map but am assuming that there are more shop represented here than have taken the time to set that up. Anyone available to help with survey and permit asap in Portland, Albuquerque, or Spokane? Whats the best way to find reliable installers?

How to charge for sign site surveys

Hello, I'm just curious how I can charge, or write on my proposals that there will be a charge for site survey when bidding on a job if not awarded the job. Normally, I add that price in with the bid/proposals, and most of the time we are awarded the job, or if not awarded it's usually something small that we don't worry too much about....Long story short, back in March I was called out to do a survey and place a bid that was 1hr each direction travel, and was onsite 1hr with the truck, taking measurements, etc, for the building and pylon sign that was damaged by a tornado....It was going to be a fairly big job and I met with the guy again and was awarded the job thru a contractor, not the owner himself.....I was told we were awarded the Job..Sent in all the vendor pkts, etc, paperwork, etc....I call back today, as I haven't heard back from them in a while and was told that the job was given to another person while "he" was on vacation and the company decided to go a different route with the job...Now, I am going to be sending him a bill for the 3hrs survey, and he was ok with compensating me, but only after I had asked. I was wanting to know if anyone else has encountered this??? If so, would it be possible to "put in the fine print" on the bottom of my job bid/proposals that there will be charges that apply for site survey if not awarded the job??? If so, could someone please help me with the "wording" of how I would say this....Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thin stroke Neon Letters

I am looking for someone to bid making some neon Reverse channel letters.

The drawing is called out for LED's Which we can do but the landlord is requesting Neon.

The letter stroke 1 1/8" looks way to thin for neon. How thick of stroke do you need for proper neon spacing?

Anybody out there willing to give this a shot?

I had a momentary lapse of reasoning the other day and inadvertently posted this in the classified section and it should have gone here. My apologies.

If anyone is in the area or can recommend good installers for technical survey and installations in the SW Texas region please let me know. I have eastern and northern Texas covered, but lacking in relationships in SW Texas.. Areas of need are Odessa, Midland, Coleman, Abilene, Alpine, Ft. Stockton, all the way down to Study Butte.
