So I placed an order for a brand new truck with BOOMCO EQUIPMENT in 2021, the owner goes by FAITH LAMB or FAITH RODRIGUEZ, and after making a 19,250k Deposit, Elliott delayed truck delivery 3 times and more than 6 Months after the date they originally promised and not only that, but they also raised the price another 13k due to material increases and other delays, so I had enough with ELLIOTT and decided to go to ALTEC Instead, took a brand new chassis that was delivered to Elliott and drove it to Altec and signed a new contract with Altec, which they built the boom truck right away and delivered as promised, but Faith was only authorized to sell Elliott equipment, so I called her and canceled the contract and Faith said she will be returning my deposit,  but then she disappeared never again picked up the phone, emails, texts, or anything at all, she is still posting trucks for sale on her website, Facebook, and other platforms, but she is not answering any phone from NY or NJ.  

I will be pressing charges against her, I'm in the process of hiring an attorney however, please be careful, don't do business with her, very sketchy business woman.   BEWARE!!!

I am in the market for a 80' plus working height bucket truck and ran across one of theirs for sale for less than $200k brand new. Wondering what's up with their product.

When we extend or retract the tubes hop and results in slack in the cables then they will retract until the cables are tight again. Tubes aren’t bent and they are

greased. We can’t tighten up the extend/retract cables. We are looking for a place to source parts or suggestions.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

The truck is a 2000 Isuzu,  built with an Aichi Boom.  The Aichi worked flawless until it died. Massive Heart  Attack

We bought a new boom bucket from VersaLift.  

We did the work in house.  One day to remove the old and install the new.

New Hydraulic Hoses made and the electrical wires.   Simple

Total cost was under $ 19,000.

This truck is garage kept since new.  No Rust or damages.  Original Paint.

This truck has made over 6 Million Dollars since 2000.  Not bad for service only.

This truck continues to go and go.  We do not baby this truck. 

Keep your trucks inside, clean and maintained. They are priceless.

What is a Sponco worth??

I have an old sponco 69 foot ladder truck. I see the 55 foot all the time, but the 69 foot seems to be uncommon. The truck is a very old and worn 1966 chevy.  It needs to be retrucked.  I am thinking about retrucking it, but I do not think I need it.  So I am wondering what it is worth and if I could sell it.

I need to put it under 24V power and see what works, but what do you think?

-       is it worth more without the truck?

-       If I retrucked it – would it help sell it, or just add expense

I would like your opinion. I am just fishing for options at the moment – it is not really for sale, or under restoration or anything else. It is just a question about options

I finally got most of my Versalift running nicely. All hydraulics smooth. However I've noticed that when descending (the main cylinder), the hydraulic pump really seems to put a lot of load on the engine - and it descents pretty jerky too.

None of the other controls seem to even slow down the engine driving the hydraulic pump. But descending nearly stalls it!

Any idea why this would be??? I would think the load/pressure would be greatest when raising the bucket with my heavy self in it. But the hydraulics just breeze through that task

Does anyone know a way to slow down just one hydraulic component on a system like this? I was thinking of adding an adjustable control valve to the input (or output?) of the hydraulic motor that turns the boom. Would something like this work... or is there an easier way?
