Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce our company, Jet Star Signs, based here in Houston, Texas. We have been in the sign industry for more than 25 years and work with businesses throughout Houston and across Texas. We handle the complete signage process, including design, permits, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repairs. Jet Star Signs is looking for an experienced lead sign installer/fabricator to join our team full-time. Pay: $25-$32/hour, depending on experience We're looking for someone who has solid commercial sign installation experience and can lead an install crew. The job also includes shop fabrication when installations aren't scheduled. Experience with channel letters, cabinet signs, monument/pylon signs, lifts, welding, electrical and general sign fabrication is a plus. Must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable working at heights and handling the physical side of sign installation. Interested? About a year ago, I started working on FindSignCompanies.com after seeing a common problem in the sign industry: finding the right sign company or installer in a specific area can sometimes take way too much time. I have been working in the sign industry for almost a decade and have had the opportunity to work with all kinds of sign companies, vendors, and installers. I wanted to use some of that experience to build something that could be useful to the community. What’s been interesting is that people have actually started reaching out through the website looking for sign companies. When that happens, I look at what they need and forward the request to relevant companies. I am not taking any commission from these referrals or selling the leads. There’s no catch. The whole point is to make it easier for people to find the right company and hopefully give something back to the industry I have been working in for years. I am continuing to grow the website and add more useful information and features. If you have used it or have an idea that could make it more useful for the sign community, feel free to share it. I am always open to suggestions. -
