Crested Butte Sign Company Buys Louisiana Property For Factory

GRETNA, La. (AP) – A sign company based in Crested Butte is going to open its second factory in suburban New Orleans.

Gov. Bobby Jindal and LetterFAB LLC executive Patrick Daigle say the company will spend nearly $1.8 million on a factory in Gretna.

Daigle says a Louisiana factory will make it easier for his company to reach markets in the South and along the East Coast.

LetterFAB makes signs of illuminated 3-D letters – the sort often used to create a company’s name and logo on the front of a building.

A state news release says LetterFAB will have 45 employees with an average annual salary of $30,000.

LetterFAB expects to get Louisiana’s industrial property tax exemption and a tax break for jobs that pay well.

      We always see a lot of conversation about how "Safe" LEDs are because they are "Low Voltage".    That is not true.   A lot of times it can just take a little bit of moisture getting inside of a module casing.   So NO, LED Module are not SAFE or DUMMY PROOF just because they are low voltage.

      I didn't take the job.   And before I did anything for a company like them, I'd have to set up an ach block.   Otherwise, per my banker, it's possible that they can do a reverse ACH.   My bankers has been after me to set that up, though there is a monthly fee.   sigh, there's a monthly fee to just about anything with banks.   Paul, keeping busy i hope?    Rocco
