Glad to hear you've gotten this situation under control . Insurance companies can pretty much do what they want to . I discovered a great website last year that a guy started because he had gotten burned and the BBB did nothing to help him. Anyone can post their experiences here and to make it fair , the company that you make the complaint against can respond with their side of the story , buu-uuut , they are not notified that their name has been put out on to the web unless you tell them or someone who knows / works for them tells them . It's ripoffreport.com and you can look any company up to see if they've burned anyone . By the way , Golden Eagle isn't mentioned , but you could start a post on them . Now how much effect it will have on a company like this is unknown and maybe they won't even care , but as these websites gain momentum and more people find out about them the more these kinds of crooks will have to straighten up (hopefully). Possibly , if you notify them that they have been pegged on this website , they'll come around even more . Of course , they might turn on you too . Maybe you should ask your lawyer before posting anything . Anyway , hope this helps in some way .To give you an example , I'd always heard that these nationwide transmission shops like Cottman and Aamco were always ripping people off . Try a search on them - it's amazing how many people have gotten burned by these companies .
