  1. Hey Paul Signs.... How did I know that you'd be the one guy to post all your accomplishments and licences that you hold for NYC. Yes, I stand corrected it's not that you have to be Union to install signs in NYC but.... every sign that is installed in NYC must be inspected and approved by a UNION shop before it can be installed. CORRECT So the question is do you pay the extra money to have your signs inspected or just hire a Union shop to install and inspect it all for one price? More than likely you'll get it at a discount if the salesman knows what he or she is doing. So thanks for correcting me and when I folllowed up with my BA from Philly, Fred (and he says HI), you were the one name that he could think of that was non-union in NYC that could corret me. Thanks Again, much appreciated. How much do you charge to have your clients signs inspected again >>>>>

For the record I an Union and I work everyday. I don't sit back and wait for that "One Big Job". If you've been doing this long enough then you know the reality of what it takes to keep a shop running no matter if your union or not. I know you have such a grand repore with #137 and I'm sure the feelings mutual. Next time your down by Philly doing a job you should let me know and we'll come by an swap job horror stories and I'll bring Freddy by to wash your truck and clean up that anti-union sticker you so proudly display.

Have a great day and stay warm, it's cold outside.

The only inspection is electrical, and that is from a NYC Dept of Buildings guy who shows up late, looks for a cut-off switch and drain holes, (from the ground by the way,) because he can't get in a bucket to inspect anything else. He then hands you a sticker and leaves. There is no such thing as a union inspection. I am not union, never will be, and I love when they come blow up their big gray rat, it makes for a great photo op, of non working union guys....Paul is correct: no one HAS to be union to work in New York City. All it takes is the correct licences.

  2. I received a call from them today (IS&D)...they make it sound like they want to clear up the invoices, $11,200.00

and this is mostly because our attorney has Liens against the TJ X corp. who owns Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Home Goods....I was also told that they are sending service out, but paying 100% up front....I'll do work under those terms, but I don't exactly hold my breath for that. Since they are in bankrupcy, they have to remove the leans before those companies can continue to use them...(why they hell would they continue to use them, I don't know, that's a whole other story) but anyway, maybe they will come out of it and pay the outstanding monies to the vendors, at least they are not gone like Image Point

  3. Nissan told me to fax over what I had and they would send it to their national office.

I had same conversation with Nissan. I sent all the photographs, sign-offs etc. directly to them back in beginning of April.

Yesterday I followed up with a phone call leaving a message that I haven't heard anything and no one returned my call from April 28th. I said that I would have the attorney write another letter......I thought enough timed had passed to get a little aggressive with them.

20 minutes later a FedEx guy walked into my office. Nissan check $3749.60 for 7 service calls.......

you can't make this stuff up...So I left a meassage for the same guy "wow, that was effective..."

We also collected from 7-11 out of Dallas Corporate......

Balance from ImagePoint is just under $7,000.00

International Sign & Design ended up a little more roughly $11,000 but I think Marshalls, Tj Maxx will come through also.....

I would recommend any one owed money to go direct.

  4. I've never even heard of them, what do they do?

We received the same letter....The sign service was for Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Famous Footwear.

I managed to get $2,800.00 from them but they still owe $12,000...since Nov/Dec/Jan

I can post the names of the contacts I have, if that is not appropriate here on a forum, PM me.

I haven't had any more response from them, so I gave it to the lawyer.

This is starting to look like ImagePoint......
