  2. Nice!!! but that music really stinks.

    Gotta love that Country Music!!!

I still think those are one of the coolest raceways with the track brackets!

Yeah Erik, they definitely are a nice feature to have with our CLRW. They can also double as a ledger to help hold the Raceway against the wall when you don't have a second pair of hands to help with the install.

  4. I've seen this go in both directions actually. We have customers who have increased their business with us since they have had to layoff some of their more expensive employees in favor of keeping general labor employees. In this case, they have elected to use more extrusions, both full lengths and kits, when they can and only "custom build" cabinets as a last resort. On the other hand, I have spoke with customers who are doing the complete opposite. Instead of laying off their more expensive and skilled work force, they are letting go of their cheaper labor and holding onto the guys and gals who have been with them for a long time and who have become extremely skilled and valuable craftsman. Going this route, they completely eliminate extrusions from their business in favor of building custom cabinets to 1) keep their employees busy and 2) to differentiate themselves from competitors by only building one-off cabinets.

Its a crazy environment right now and the economy is forcing people to take whatever means necessary to keep the lights on. I can see the advantages and disadvantages of both scenarios - neither one is an easy decision especially when it comes to laying off good, hard working people.

There's no question that in many cases extrusions can save a company time and money without sacrificing quality. Many sign companies have grown accustomed to creating one-off style cabinets and their production & fabrication people may feel that their jobs will become invaluable if the company switches to extrusions...

  5. Can you guys do an oval cab that we can use vac formed faces in?

Brian, at this time we do not have a solid solution for it. We have had customers use our extrusions for this exact kind of project, but currently we do not offer a ready-made solution for this. I'd be happy to send you out a sample so you could see if it would work for you. Just let me know and I'll get one out to ya.

  6. Manuel, we have Single Face and Double Face Top Hinged applications. S/F signs start at about 8" depth and move up to 10". D/F is 10 1/2" - 18".

Forgot to add, we have Flex Face Hinged systems as well - S/F is 11" depth and D/F is 17" & 20"

What size of cabinet are you looking for and what depth?

  7. Thanks for the laughs, thoughts, and images Melissa! I understand what you're going through and have been or am going through the same things. It sounds like we need to get together for a drink some time and share some laughs. I can't stop picturing that damn ass out hug! It cracks me up just thinking about it!

I hope you continue your good mood. Live for today because you never know what tomorrow will bring.

I'll bring the margaritas you just tell me when and where! :drunk:
