  1. Got hit this AM on our main computer--wasnt able to stop the virus. Shut down EVERYTHING with an exe filename, which basically is everything.

Had an IT Manager at a local sign company that was able to help me get it off thankfully.

  3. Gary,

Good morning—went over your question with Henry and he here is his response:

    • Please see the attached picture of the UNT1512N3G correctly placed in the Transformer Box. Per the instructions in our Transformer Box, the spacing requirements are the following:
    • For a 15KV, minimum spacing between high volt parts & ground: 1.5”
    • For a 15KV, minimum spacing between live primary parts & ground: .75”
    • In this picture, there are 2” for Part A (.5” more than minimum required) and for Part B there is 1” (.25” more than the minimum required)

Regarding your question about the theory of mounting the Transformer to one side to the Transformer Box for additional heat dissipation, the UNT Tank is designed & manufactured by default to be the Coolest Running Neon Transformer on the Market—so you are perfectly fine mounting the UNT Tank in the center. When you use 100% Copper, Higher Grade Steel Laminations, A Larger Core, Epoxy Resin Fill, & Extensive Additional Manufacturing Processes To Ensure Maximum Core Strength, it all culminates into the least stress on the “heart” of the Transformer, ensuring maximum strength and life.

If you have any additional questions, Henry said to give him a call and he would be happy to talk about the UNT Tank and how our testing compared to other like models is going.

Thanks, and GO IRISH! Beat Stanford!

  4. Hey man--right now, we are only making the UNT Tanks in 30 mA, 120V, [2 Models cover all Secondary Volt Ranges] as we still have alot of 60 mA and 277V units available in-house.

With respect to the weghts, the UNT Tank lives up to its reputation, with the 15KV weighing in at around 28 pounds. I will shoot you a flyer that has all the dimensions.

Lastly, if you need Transformers with 60mA and 277V, here is what we got in Outdoor Style (NT) and Self Contained (PNT):

    QTY 74: S 1527 G (15KV, 277V, 60mA) Outdoor Style

    QTY 30: NT1227N6G (12KV, 277V, 60mA) Outdoor Style

    QTY 73: NT927N6G (9KV, 277V, 60mA) Outdoor Style

    QTY 60: NT727N6G (7KV, 277V, 60mA) Outdoor Style

    QTY 55: NT627N6G (6KV, 277V, 60mA) Outdoor Style

    QTY 92: NT527N6G (5KV, 277V, 60mA) Outdoor Style

    QTY 10: NT427N6G (4KV, 277V, 60mA) Outdoor Style

    QTY 104: NT327N6G (3KV, 277V, 60mA) Outdoor Style

    QTY 140: PNT1527N6G (15KV, 277V, 60mA) Self Contained

    QTY 50: PNT1227N6G (12KV, 277V, 60mA) Self Contained

    QTY 144: PNT927N6G (9KV, 277V, 60mA) Self Contained

    QTY 144: PN727N6G (7KV, 277V, 60mA) Self Contained

    QTY 97: PNT627N6G (6KV, 277V, 60mA) Self Contained

    Thanks!

  5. In addition to the UNT Tank, Transco To Go is also introducing a line of Export Model Transformers (120V-60HZ that do not have Secondary Ground Fault Protection). These Units are solely for Export, but I wanted to post this information for those that do business outside the US/Canada that could use these Units.

These Export Models will be made with the same Manufacturing Philosophy as the UNT Tank—100% Copper Wire, Military Grade Steel Laminations, Detailed Manufacturing Process to ensure maximum Core & Coil Strength, etc.

On the first container of the UNT Tank Transformers, the following Export Model Transformers will be available: 15KVs, 12KVs, and 9KVs. Distributor Pricing has been sent to our Distributors.

    Thanks!

  6. Hello--I have tons of 7500 PBKM Neon Transformers:

    30mA, 120V: 130+ Units

    30mA, 277V: 50+ Units

    60mA, 120V: 45+ Units

    60mA, 277V: 100+ Units

If you call your local Transco To Go Distributor, they should be able to get you what you need.

Let me know if you need any help.

    Thanks.

  7. Hey Sean--actually you hit the nail on the head. Transco To Go has had to really look at where we are as an industry with respect to Neon Transformers and how our units will be used going forward. When going back to the drawing board (literally), we took great efforts to design a unit that would not only meet, but beat the nostalgia surrounding the Sanyo Units: Superior Construction, Performance, & Design.

Most importantly, I was reminded during this process of what the two founders of Sanyo once said many years ago: "We are going to be the #1 Neon Transformer Manufacturer because our units are "the best," not "just good enough."

While there are many fond memories of the Sanyo Transformers, I can promise these will be even better.

PS: Our Director of Manufacturing spent the first half of this week at our new factory and everything is in motion for an on-time ship date in July: Tooling finalized and materials ready--let the manufacturing begin!

  8. Sign Syndicate Members,

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Following up on the threads regarding a "reliable" Electronic Ballast in the market place, I want to make a push for Transco's Electronic Ballast Line.

It seems many have been "burned" by certain brands of Electronic Ballasts in the past, but I guarantee that our product will not let you down. With a 5 year warranty and a state-of-the-art design, Transco's Electronic Ballasts have been the consistent choice for sign companies and programs around the country for many years.

In addition to all the Ballasts on the shelves at our distributors, we have over 4,500 Electronic Ballasts at our warehouse in South Carolina right now, so you do not have to worry about product access!

Whether you need Lampholders, 20A Toggle Switches, GTO-Wire, Transformer Enclosure Boxes, Easy Cap/Easy Boot, Resin Bond/Channel Bond, Lead Free Electrodes, The Ion Line of LEDs, or a host of Neon Transformers, we have you covered!

I have attached information on our Electronic Ballasts below--if you have any questions/comments/issues, please feel free to bring them to my attention.

    Have a great week!
