  1. I forgot, Neon Engineering has a location in Georgia, and they might accidentely have it. They stock a lot of colors in their Cinn., OH office. I buy a lot from them. They can also get single sheets if you have the time to wait.

  2. FYI, Neon Wizard is the reccomended software for this machine. It comes with it when you buy one new. I don't know why but it exports a better dxf file than anything else for this patricular machine. I have tried Flexi, Corel, Illustrator and others but Neon Wizard works best.

Also, this machine only works with fonts that don't have short sarrifs. It needs about 1.3 inches to change direction. The bigger the letter, the better job it does. If you do an Arial font you can probably make a hundred letters a day with it.

  3. I would imagine the reason they do this is to keep people from building mailing lists to call or sale to their customers and also screwing up their customer stats. I pay to advertise on signsearch and they give me stats on people who view my info and they probably want to keep this info accurate.

I'm sure a lot of people go there to search out companies to sell to and are not looking for a sign service. Hope this makes since.

  4. We use these all the time in large, lighted signs. Especially flex faces. They are used in high rises and other hard to get to or expensive service places. They have a long life and, if you have 25 to 20 of them in a big sign and a couple go out ,the sign is still in ok shape untill service is done. We put light diffusers around the bulb to avoid hot spots.

I would say the gym took short cuts and didn't use fixtures with shields around them to save $$$. You can get shielded or unshielded fixtures.

  5. I'll keep you in mind. I'm right outside Lexinton, KY. Business was slower during the Summer but has really picked up the past couple months. Send me some pricing info.

  6. I don't know about Florida, but in KY he would be set up too close to the lines and the lines should have been sleeved by the power company. They will do that for free if you give them notice. If they drive by and they are not sleeved they can have you shut down.

I don't think lightning was involved either, but anything is possible I guess.

  7. I need some help pricing some equipment that I should have sold a year ago but didn't. I am primarily in the outdoor lighted business. I am thinking about getting out of the banner and small sign business.

I have a Gerber Edge II and a Envision plotter. Several cartridges.

Mimaki JV4-160, Like new, This was purchased becaused the previous owners thought there was big money in sublimation.

Universal Laser 12x24 cutting area, 50 watt. This thing was barely used. Don't know why they bought it.

I have used the JV3 some. Not like most of you guys do probably. We purchsed the company about a year after they bought this stuff. I should have sold it immediatly but didn't.

Can some of you guys tell what you think it is actually, really worth?
