Electromagnetic Field Danger

Recommended Posts

Hello All, I am considering taking on a sign job which would entail working from a hanging basket ten stories up the side of a hotel building.  There is cell phone company emitter and receiver equipment on top of this building, and I believe that normal procedure for workers accessing the roof is to schedule a shut down of this equipment while work is ongoing.  I haven't worked around this kind of equipment before and am unaware of the dangers of approaching it.  Does anyone have any advice about this or know of a good source of pertinent information I can access?  Thanks.

Microwaves, has same effect on human body as putting a hamburger in a Microwave and turning it on. the longer you are exposed to high levels the more internal damage to the body.

    • Hi guys. I just joined about a month ago and haven't introduced myself yet. I'm a sign PM of 13 years, currently with Franchise Signs International. As the name suggests we mostly serve chain companies, namely restaurants (so for us things are especially slow right now but we do have a couple of accounts that are still rockin n rollin.) Our terms are net 30 and we usually have no issue doing half deposits or credit card payments before shipping at first until we establish credit with you. On large installs that require upfront equipment rental we are flexible about deposits. I previously worked for Allen Industries and all I'll say for now is, FSI is much easier to work for because of that flexibility and they actually pay on time (with the exception of the occasional PM error failing to approve an invoice on time.) I've never had a company refuse to work with me at FSI whereas as Allen it was commonplace.    ANYWAY... getting to the point now....    I'm working with a large logistics company currently sending large quantity orders for various size coroplast signs, ACM panels, vinyl graphics, etc. We also get quite a few orders for interior acrylic and sintra letters.  We have a couple of suppliers we work with already but we're looking to network with more from various regions. Drop me a line if you're interested in networking with us! I'll provide my email address if allowed (is that allowed?)
    • Some reps will you anything until the shit hits the fan. How do I know this?
    • SKYSIGNMAN,   It is not a quality issue I am referencing. I have sold Watchfire displays in the past and they have failed and required repair too. In fact, one of my previous Watchfire customers disconnected their Watchfire display and replaced it with a Samsung. I didn't get the job to replace it so perhaps it was their way of saying  to me keep your Watchfire displays.   What I am referencing is the lack of vision on Vantage's part to support their dealer network.
    • Watchfire is making their own LED's, modules, and drivers in the USA?
    • I have been in the Sign Business for just over 35 years , Owner of Skylight Signs for 18 years. We ONLY sell American Made Watch-Fire signs. we will not even offer another product or even service other products.  We offer anyone with a "off-shore" unit a $3000.00 trade-in discount on any new Watch-Fire units.  We have sold over 150 units in the area & just sold out 1st 10' x 36'  highway billboard unit on the main interstate in downtown Rochester, NY
