  1. We have launched our facility retrofit estimator. http://www.axiomled.com/AxiomLED/LightYourPlace.html
  2. When did the Sloan brothers leave Sloan? Is Sloan parting ways with N Glantz like GE did?
  3. We do voltage swing testing to 175 volts, we do rapid transient testing...and electrical fast transient testing I came from the transient voltage semiconductor world - we build that into any circuit running off AC
  4. Josh Young is very focused on making this successful - I do not doubt his intentions - when they focus on something, they get it.
  5. we already have orders for thousands - and even orders from some of the big names we all know that are curious about our price and performance. So the initial roll out has gone very well. We expect one customer to purchase over 25,000 parts in the next few weeks. We just introduced a retrofit for T5 fluorescent - same thing, retrofit fixture instead of replace fixture. And we have developed a 250 Watt and 400 Watt Metal Halide Retrofit system for parking lot lights. So what is next??? We are working on a system that has 7200 lumens per square foot or more than 10X what we just introduced.
  6. AxiomLED has introduced a new LED light bulb to replace incandescent and compact fluorescent http://tinyurl.com/3bshbxr http://www.axiomled....plications.html http://store.axiomle...ode=AP10W27V120
  7. Good way to start off the summer - http://tinyurl.com/43t7xzk
  8. Company in New Zealand is in the market for a large flat bed CNC router. Here is what they wrote: One unit that has taken our fancy is an American unit called Multicam 7-306-R-PF. This unit has a working table area of 2138mm x 4318mm. I will scan a spec sheet and fwd it to you. Problem we have is leadtime to produce a new unit is 12 - 14 weeks from time of deposit, and 4 further weeks for sea freight to New Zealand. If we can source an existing high speed machine, that isn't a lemon, this may be a better alternative than waiting for a new machine to be built. If you have a router you want to sell contact gary@magassembly.co.nz
  9. Okay, now put it up in Punjabi. gn We have already done work in India - not of interest anymore. India has gone very cheap in its products.

  12. I will ask Blake Gover at Yesco he is the world pro on fuel injection systems - and this company is in Hendersen/Las Vegas I will go see it!!! I have been to the North Pole but Santa was not there - actually was in the artic circle area - only found a Nokia mobile phone manufacturing plant- and that was a waste of a trip for biz - but that my friends was long time ago Other companies are coming up with technologies right now because they will get government/GE attention
  13. Originally this was Imagepoint in USA, in Canada it was not Pattison
  14. Pretty cool. How about a few specs? Size, how many LEDs and such. This was a custom run and the products are 10" apart - I thought they were crazy but that is what they wanted - and it looks great. Part specs: http://store.axiomled.com/AXLE3A_SW65_Value_White_LED_Module_p/axle3a-sw65.htm
  15. Big sign, used LED instead of fluorescent, the ad is for the equivalent of IKEA in Eastern Europe http://www.axiomled.com/AxiomLED/Examples/Entries/2011/6/1_AxiomLED_Lights_Signage_for_TESCO_Stadium_in_Czech_Republic.html
  16. That is a great soap box story, thanks for sharing - good memories
  17. right now just signs - but your head is in the right place going after inside...
  18. 1. Einsteins in Texas, New Mexico, Florida, Illinois, North California, all over... dont know exact locations. 2. KFC in Diamond Bar was a franchise. Isolated store. KFC is taking off in New Zealand as well. 3. Agree on China - fast growth, American technology will be replaced by home made Chinese solutions. China economy will rise and fall very quickly - just my prediction. The rise of USA economy took a good 125-150 years. I think China's rise to the top this time will be 30-40 years and then they will fall as well. Just my prediction. The cycles of history are getting faster.
  19. Gary - thanks for sharing the mercury stories in the past - I have heard the same from several others. I guess the point is that it is now law - so we adjust and deal with it. And next time you can vote for someone who you want or hope to do something different - go vote. I believe that the creative and talented businesses or those that quickly adjust to what is "the new law" I am sure we have all heard the phrase "perception is reality" - it could also be said "that the reality of a situation is deceptively presented to help someone"... Think of going through airport security and the new body scanners - someone made a lot of money. So who will make money off the new rules? Do you think the money will be put towards fire departments to help them put out coal producing fires faster??? I doubt it. When things like this get passed it doesnt always make a lot of sense - but it is that way....adjust, move on, and figure out how you can make a dime off it - thats my approach. Do you know how many old style Butchers are going to do well now that Mark Zuckerberg from Facebook says that if he is going to eat meat he will kill the animals himself and take them to a butcher.... just watch, local neighborhood butchers will be doing better soon. I doubt Walmart will offer that service!!!
  20. yes - different sizes soon - 2ft, 5ft (already sold in New Zealand), 8ft.
  21. Their shop in Logan Utah is even more impressive - except the circuit boards they make are 48 feet wide by 14 feet tall!!! Apples...or maybe Apple Computer and Toyota do have a similar model - if you saw the Toyota dealership in Paris France you would think you just walked into an Apple Store. Take a step back and look. Sorry, if I provide odd analogies, just my years of management consulting I have done trying to get people to think of things differently to gain a new and competitive vantage point. And for those that know me on this board - if I started talking about a Rubik Cube - you would probably all remember how the surface area of cube in tact is much less than if you broke it into its smaller pieces... and the more surface area you have the more light you have coming out... So Rubik Cubes and LED lighting... odd analogies.
  22. Sorry for delay in response. No I am not saying that fluorescent ballast are not safe. But you must know the following: 1. Fluorescent ballast on these fixtures are set to put out current ratings of 75mAmps or less. Why? Well if you were to manage to shock yourself on a fluorescent ballast short it would feel like an ESD shock - low current, high voltage. Zap. But what is important is that you did not start or cause your heart to defib and start a heart attack. So as a result of this limiting the power to the end caps or tombstones to 75mA or less you are preventing this. So they are safe. 2. In other LED tubes on the market they connect 120VAC or 230VAC directly to the tubes and the LEDs are consuming much more than 75mA so if you were to short the tubes you would be fried and lying on a table in a hospital. Your heart wouldnt be loving you too much. 3. Our system is a UL power supply that is Class 2 - so that in the event of a short the output of the power supply immediately shuts off - and more importantly the output voltage is 24 Volt DC, the human body doesnt usually recognize voltage until they reach above 30 Volts. So you wont feel much holding the output of our power supplies. And you are safe. So fluorescent - safe. Our LED tube - safe. Some of the crap that wires directly to line voltage at 120-230VAC - well it just became a deadly weapon. A bit of my background - for about 7 years I worked with the leading Heart pacemaker and defibrillator manufacturers around the world in supplying them analog chips - so I know a ton about the effects of high voltage and power on the body and the heart. The company I worked for, Microsemi (NASDAQ: MSCC), is the world leader in medical chips for these type devices. They also happen to be the world's leader in military and satellite electronics for high reliability. And then I was also part of the management team that bought the company that brought patented technology for driving Cold Cathode Fluorescent and LED driver technology to the market - Microsemi is the company that is behind most all of the flat panel TV and computer systems in the market. So in essence - I had a lot of training on long lifetime, safe, and really high performance products. I worked for a great company - and today they are doing well too. I opened up Nasdaq when I worked for them - this was a great experience! Enough bio - hopefully I answered your question. Fluorescent is safe, and so are our tubes.
  23. Yes you are right... but you know the background as well I dont like Walmart - but it does not mean it is not a name that a majority of Americans know. In the USA we dont allocate enough time for "Custom and Quality" anymore. With limited time to spend on things we all find ourselves at a Walmart. Reality is tough pill to swallow. And - as companies change gears to adjust to market needs - it is amazing how streamlined the overhead model goes.
  24. We do consulting work for a large sign fabricator outside North America and they are looking to purchase a Multi Cam 7000 router. Anyone have one they are looking to sell?
  25. Does anyone do this or know someone that does this? Was asked recently by someone who is expanding their fabrication processes. Any help would be appreciated.
