  1. Today is the day  BBQ!!!
  2. :D WOOOHOOO 1st Thread on the new board
  3. Sorry, With this board is very limited to what I can do, & I'm not able to bring Daves individual post into the locked forum so I had to do a cut & Paste job. Sorry :( I'm upgrading in a week or two. To a less "Boring" Site. I was just planning on deleting the Sign Fab posts of the thread, not the entire thread. In the future I'm just going to put a temp notice of where to look at on info on Sign Fab and the take it down. But yeah, Signindustry.com Bulletin Board blows
  4. I have placed it here http://www.thesignindustry.com/viewtopic.php?t=131 I don't want a forum full of anti-Sign Fab Spam. All parties involved are in that thread. This thread will be deleted soon too. I'm sure your all tired of hearing me bitch about signindustry.com too I think i'm a little more blunt than the others, I like to put the good with the bad. I'm not afraid to speak out or let others speak out when it's something with substance. But at the same time it's not going to be a forum full of spam. I'm sure all three parties are angry and I don't want this to be an everyday thing with them. I'm probably the only forum who's holding it without deleting it. It's imformative yes, others & I have read it and i'm sure have made out own decision.
  5. Now the message board is down I guess, or I've been banned
  6. dead link He must have a laptop with a wireless connection
  7. I heard a lot of people talking about wanting a chat channel in IRC. Well I just registered a channel you can download a free program from http://www.mirc.com Go to VIEW>OPTIONS>CONNECT> IRC Server: Scroll down to ProGamePlayer:Random Server hit EDIT Enter The IRC Server: NetFire.TX.US.GameSurge.net Ports: 6667-6668 IRC channel #sbt_clan Time will tell what happens and how popular it can get. Chat is usually not a forum killer
  8. Corporate Logo's & Others http://www.brandsoftheworld.com Sports Logo's http://www.sportlogo.net/modules.php?name=...p=search&query= Links For Two Sites http://givemehelp.com/clipart.htm
  9. As if I haven't already done enough reading all day. Were not going to make this a forum to be going back and forth. This should be enough having both sides of the issue. Hopefully people with questions from the other sites will be able to see this and make their own conclusion. I'm locking this post, any in the future regarding this matter will be directed here then deleted. Sign Fab I hope you keep stopping by, and thank you for your response.
  10. Okay I think I remember this story now before everything got erased from those sites
  11. Well Cutters read "vector" art and that comes in a couple different formats like .eps, .dxf, .ai and a couple of others. You can google search some free sites that have clip art, or purchase some from company's like "Speed Press" that carry some software form various company's
  12. (I) Common Sense I hope I don't have to explain this one :nonono2: But just in case I will leave a little room under these to add later (II) Calling out individuals or Company's for Bad Business As I see this site getting bigger, and it's only been weeks in existence. This Forum will not be like the others, I will not delete posts where company names or individuals are called out for performing badly or taking advantage of others. But details and history will be required. I will also invite the other party so we can get two sides of the story and let everyone else make up their own mind. If you are ever unsure about a company I would always advise that you get at least five references and thoroughly check them out before hiring them for goods and services After all this is an open forum and a service to the trade for those who seek help or offer it. (III) No ing up different Fourms with the same topic (IV) After my beer I 'll think of it
  13. Well I've been contacted by Sign Fab and got their side of the story about the claims against them. I've left ample opportunity for Traviscnc and others to talk about it regarding complaints and case history. I like to have two sides of a story and be fair and balanced like Fox News :D Sign Fab is prepared to give a statement but since I don't see any statements in opposition to them, other than "They take advantage of people" I don't see any purpose for them to waste their time. As I see this site getting bigger, and it's only been weeks in existence. This Forum will not be like the others, I will not delete posts where company names or individuals are called out for performing badly or taking advantage of others. But details and history will be required. I will also invite the other party so we can get two sides of the story and let everyone else make up their own mind. 14. Good luck Texas, you have only started to scratch the surface for what you can do.
  15. Well Traviscnc I don't mind if you post a problem with Sign Fab and tell the reason but I Don't wanna leave this post up without one and not let Sign Fab able to respond. Because it will look more like smearing. Give a little history or your dealings, otherwise I will have to lock this one up or delete it. :who:
  16. It sounds to me that a lot of the vinyl peeps who are using pee cee's are using Corel. I know quite a few in the vinyl business who use Corel and love it. From what I hear you just need to download a driver for your cutter. I have been using LXI a spin off of flexicut pro made by the same company, and I use it on a mac :D . I have Flexi, Signlab, and other cad based programs fro my cnc, but i still use Lxi and the others collect dust. If I have to use the cad based i'll just export out of Lxi. Oh and my cutter is a Panther from signwarehouse.com. & fortunetly I love it and have had no problems with it or with that company like others have reported products or support. But each situation is different, not every person has a good time at disneyland like they should :wiggle:
  17. Well I Know nothing about the issues with Sign Fab. Maybe some input & history would help. But with that I would also invite Sign Fab to come in here tell their side too. Like all politics, radio & television it's hard to bite the hand that feeds you. We don't have advertisers here so I'm very open for products that work and just don't work. I have my own issues with Signindustry.com, they keep removing my posts to to tell others about this site as quickly as they can. Signweb.com doesn't seem to have a problem with it. But then again Signindustry.com does have a lot of advertising. Not that i'm complaining or anything, more power to capitalism :D
  18. 1" MFD and laminate your favorite color alumium sheet to it :D
  19. Now that I think ABout It I need to Speak To Steve Myself :lolhitting:
  20. Kapco (Kent Adhesive Products Co.). 1000 Cherry St. PO Box 626 Kent, OH 44240 USA. www.kapco.com. 330-678-1626. 330-678-3922. Steve Davis (Sales) Toll-Free: 800-843-5368
  21. I have yet to even see Gerber. I have Sign Lab but haven't really dabbed into it to much, but I think I will start since it has drivers for more cnc router. I mostly use flexi. But I think if you call the company they will send you a demo CD where you can do everything but save files or something like that.
  22. Welcome Mom!!! :wiggle: Well I've been using a Roland for years then bought a 24" Panther from http://signwarehouse.com Some people report nightmares about sign warehouse But I personally have had no problems. Graphtec is good and it seems a lot of people like Summa Cutters. I think all those are good for what you will be doing. I got mine at singwarehouse just under 3k and it came with LXI software which is made by Flexicut, equal to the Flexicut Pro. Very nice software, and that was 2 years ago. But at a minumum I would get at least a 24" width. For what your doing it sounds like the bobcat might work (Package #3) I try to always buy ahead of what i might need to give myself room to grow and expand. I always remeber that old quote "You get what you pay for" You might buy this and get carried away with other kinds of work and find yourself limited.
  23. The photo has to be somewhere on the web with a url address. For example I have mine from my website or on a directory from my website. If you have one there and ready to use, you can click on the "Img" button above once then paste the address then click the "Img" button again. It should then look something like this with the img brackets surrounding the address but wihtout the commas If you have a pic but nowhere to host it, email it to me & I'll host it within this website and i'll send you the address to put between the brackets :wiggle:
  24. :woot: GraphiXtreme 1st post of the new year...I just got home.....I will be paying for it in a few hours
