Hydroforming Metal?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone do this or know someone that does this? Was asked recently by someone who is expanding their fabrication processes. Any help would be appreciated.

You're best bet is to get into the automotive manufacturing groups. Cool process but I don't see it as an effective method for short run stuff. The tooling costs will eat you alive. Same with injection molding and similar methods. Both use extreme pressure. Explosive uses even more pressure and the set up for a run is again cost prohibitive unless you're planning on large runs.

Also... are you talking about a sign manufacturer?

Working with metal I assume?

What size parts? Big small medium etc.

I can put you intouch with some of my family and friends who are big in the automotive industry but they're going to tell you the same things and ask you the same things....
