  1. This is what I was curious about and I see your point. You just never know anymore how patent law is going to evolve in LEDs. Sooooooooo many people have LED patents on questionable things, it will make for entrtaining viewing from the balcony for sure. Thanks for the chime in Marko.
  2. I wonder what this means for other LED boarder tube producers, is neoneon now out of luck or at risk for importing thier products...The old ilight was cool but delaminated in the cold weather. I know they fixed that but I wonder what other patents will affect all the other guys? Manuel, I know you said you would never get into that part of the buisness again, nor would I, but do you have a reaction?
  3. Try Bill Young at Solid State Solutions 501 920 9456...they have some Edison base bulbs, mr16 and t12/8 replacements...a little pricy but in this instance it might be a good fit.
  4. My brothers still have a working plant and are still doing a lot of repair work...not much new going out the door of thier shop though.
  5. I've known Dino a long time and he'll do you right...you still out at Al's funhouse?
  6. OMG aint that the truth. We should drink beer and just one up each other for a few hours...sometime soon we will be in the same place at the same time.
  7. What, you don't have the time to watch thier every move? Thats all it takes, watch them every minuet of every day in hopes that they still don't slip something by in broad daylight or something like that! There are a few places that are above board but not too many thats for sure.
  8. I could not agree more. European standards for quality are a little different than ours. We had Italian engineers working on our first systems and it was hilarious to listen to the arguments between a group of Italian engineers and Chinese engineers! :bitchin:
  9. Might be these guys... http://www.enled.it/
  10. FYI... TRID did a great job for me on the job I started this thread for.
  11. Call this guy...I delt with him many years ago. He's a stand up guy. Don't know if he needs help but he is about 180 degrees from what you are talking about... Dan Lange Lange Sign Group 5569 Carey Ave Davenport, IA 52807 Phone 563-388-6650 800-804-8025
  12. Knew a couple of guys who tried to play with it. Europeans use it more I was told, not sure that is true though. The first supplier I worked for had it on the shelf for some reason. He was an old Motorola engineer and had all knids of crazy stuff on the shelf.
  13. I agree with Gary, there is a ton of crap CC out there. Most neon benders go to school and learn how to bend 8mm, so when they get 20 or 25mm in thier hands they don't have a clue. Maybe its a midwest thing. Ever since Whiteway has stopped with its corner the market approach to signs with cold cathode instead of standard tubes in the Chicago market there isn't as much need for it around here...Time is money in the tube room and like Gary said you better be damn patient...
  14. But Mayor Dave Golonski,... “I think it’s a distraction, and that is the whole reason we prohibited LED in the first place.” IDIOT. Don't think meat you'll just hurt the team...don't bother checking into all the studies that have proved this to be bullshit either as it's easier to just follow your rules. I'm sure his eye doctor buddy has a wealth of sign and advertising legal experience though, great way to support the argument...
  15. I'll send you a pm...I have two other quotes right now and I will give you a chance too...
  16. Behlur, Behlur...nobody? Everbody bitchin about no pay and I got nobody???
  17. I need an installer to do some simple overlay work in San Fransisco...
  18. Bunch of old Image Point people at The Principle Group, have you tried them? http://www.principle-group.co.uk/
  19. Marty sure stays busy, I hope it works out for you Gary...
