  1. Gooday all, I was having dramas logging in to Letterville and am not getting anywhere. Not gonna botther anymore, I registered and got a password but got nuthin, emailed and got further instruction, still nuthin, emailed and told them and guess what, still nuthin. Now they simply will not answer emails. Praps thats all they have to offer outsiders, nuthin. But would love to read that thread, can someone post a link ? Best Lance :smile011:
  2. Just as an aside Erik, I assume Paris had nothing to do with the discussion on Hold Down Methods? :whip:
  3. Gooday Erik, Sounds like you had a very productive and enjoyable weekend. From flicking through various forums (only jokin, this is the only one I read) it seems as though the sign, promotion, display industry over there is well catered for with seminars, expos and the like. I am very new to it here in Oz so as yet I don't know a great deal about what is offered in the field of expos etc. That pic looks pretty informal and free going so I guess you had plenty of time to mingle and get the feel of the place and people. Doesn't seem like a big turn out but that is not a bad thing. Is there such a thing as an agenda, notes or program offered at these functions, it would be interesting to see what went on. Apart from all that did you get a pic of the wifes nails, they prolly cost more than the trip so should be remembered in a visual display. Good to chat, back again soon Best Lance

  5. Good move Erik. Get some more interest going in what I believe will be a strong and well supported forum. You are ofering just a little bit of difference to all the others and I think that brashness will go down well. Best lance :smile011:
  6. Gooday, is everybody lurking or just plain shy. It's a little quiet in here and I am bored to tears here at home in Oz so i thought I would come in to say Hi. Families all in bed, TV is RS, Roland is still sick, yeah I'm bored. Hey what about I introduce my family, that will be exciting for everyone won't it. Pic 1 is the missus Anne and my little girl Kathryn and the other pic (yes the second one) is my boy Adrian. Kathryn has had that phone surgically attached to her ear so she does'nt have to hold it all the time and Adrian has had that wheelchair surgically attached to his a..s so he does'nt have to walk. I won't tell you about Annes surgical attachments. Spend some time ranting about my family and I'm still bored. Does that make me a bad parent? I want Roland to get better, I might take him to the cutter fixer. That'l learn ya, now if no one else posts anything soon I'm gonna do this again. Come on everyones got something to say or tell us about. Best Lance
  7. Does anyone have access to an exploded view diagram such as in a parts manual or service book for the pnc1000 or similar cutter? That would make life a little (lot) more pleasant. Thanks for your help guys.
  8. Gooday all. I am starting to think Pinch Roller Sensor problem with this. Last night I turned the machine upside down to have a squiz, did nothing and when I turned it on again the ‘ILLEGAL PINCHROLL POSITION’ message had gone. After turning off and on again the message is back. Something loose, dirty, clogged with scrap or perhaps out of alignment? Maybe the rollers aren’t in the wrong position, they just think they are. Does anyone know how to access the roller sensor? My guess is that it’s under the lower cover in front of the rollers. I have removed the 2 chrome screws on the top of this cover and the 2 black screws under the cover but it will not come free. Am I missing some type of concealed retainer or am I simply not as clever as my mum told me I was. Any help in getting at the roller sensor would put you in the position of being most liked forum member, at least for today. Yeah OK. Again thanks to all for your help Lance
  9. Gooday all, Got another problem with my PNC-1000 and I am hoping for a bit of help with the explanation. While working on the machine to try and correct a previous problem ( http://www.thesignindustry.com/forums/inde...p?showtopic=225 ) this new hassle has evolved. I am getting the 'Illegal Pinchroll Position' message appearing. The pinchrollers have not been moved at all until this message appeared. I relocated them to see if something would re-set itself but there was no change, and now the rollers are back in the original posion with the message still displayed. Anyone have any ideas which may clear the message. Once I get this sorted I can continue on the original problem. Thanx all Lance sherrardl@optusnet.com.au
  10. Gooday Erik I am cutting direct from Corel9 running on XP with a parallel connection. I have tried changing the cable but made no difference. Someone suggested possbly the font may cause a hassle but the problem is not limited to just this font. The dircection it shoots of at is random either across or up/down the page. The machine is set to Mode 2 and the trick happens in either Expand X or Free Y I appreciate the response mate.
  11. Gooday Guys and Guyettes Just got a pnc 1000 up and running but having hassles with the cut. Part way through a cut it will shoot of at tangent to the edge of page and then return and continue cutting. In this action it will miss 4-5mm in the actual cut path. I will get an "Error 2 Wrong No of Parameters" How am I creating an wrong No of Parameters? Anyone throw any light on this for me ?
