What is the White JT LED product part number everyone is using - we would love to purchase some online from N Glantz.

We are going to a U2 Concert tonight in Las Vegas...might be the last time this band ever does a world tour...I guess I am dating myself by following them since they started!!!

I saw an OLED demo once that was impressive but after the sheet was put into a container and oxygen was removed- way off from making it in thr real world but may be great for medical or military displays

If someone is replacing fluorescent in a sign in the field with our LED systems - while they should be Classified and use both our power supply and our LED systme - can they use our LED system and ANY LED driver that is UL Recognized to be used with our LED system? Just wanted to make sure this applies to replacing one technology with another.

I think it would be great for UL to chime in on this. It is my understanding that according to UL a sign company that is UL48 could use ANY Class 2 UL Recognized power supply with any UL Recognized LED module. I dont think what you said above is correct "neither their power supply could be used with other lights and be UL listed nor their lights could be used with another power supply and be UL listed" but I will check with UL and have them comment.

Is that the El Plato system? Good to see them winning something. I am still an investor in Permlight and would love to see them do better.

I thought Sloan LED systems were designed to handle 12VDC input and make it constant current? Most intelligently designed constant current drivers could handle anything output from a Class 2 UL approved 12VDC power supply. I didnt know politics had to do with 12VDC... is Obama involved in something else new????

We thought that LED companies would not mind us promoting our selling people on using their power supplies. Probably very similar to fluorescent - cabinet sign may have an Advance Transformer Ballast and a GE Fluorescent Tube...or maybe you swap it out with a Sylvania tube. Hell...or even in 12V halogen landscape lighting - do we ever really think about or try to "match" the halogen bulb to the transformer...um...well...NO!!! So we heard froma sizeable customer that SloanLED says that people cannot use their power supply with our LED system? Is that nuts? Does that make any sense whatsoever???? GE, Permlight, Advance Transformer, and even Meanwell (the company that has made power supplies for Sloan before)...none of them have a problem. I will make sure I never use "HONDA" tires when I have to change the tires on my car!!!! 12VDC Class 2 is just that...a standard part. I cannot possibly understand how an LED system could "hurt" the Sloan power supply. Very amusing. Would love people's opinion on Sloan "not approving".

They sell to the sign industry (wholesale) as well as end customers/retailers/shopping mall owners. Ran across a company that was using this tool http://www.schedulicity.com/Default.aspx to schedule installs or repairs with customers. Thought it was pretty cool. We have considered using it to schedule meetings with customers coming to Las Vegas for tradeshows - a simple way to put everyone on the same calendar and an easy way to maximize time. Just thought I would share.

Friend of ours has played with Metallica before. He plays on Las Vegas strip every Thursday and Friday night...funny Rock Comedy show.

So the company that does SUBWAY signs in Southern California appears they will win. Not sure if anyone knows but AXIOM NZ lights about 2 SUBWAY signs a week - and has done so for a long time.

Last day of competition - looks like company in Texas will win...but the guys in New Zealand might change that up a bit. Free Trip to Las Vegas for two (2) - includes round trip air and two nights at high end hotel.

Several of their "seaside" resorts that are near Sea Turtles have or are about to use our product - they want to have "the right" image. I think the quest to "re-image" these companies is to establish a high level of "quality" that is becoming more important as the economy falls. I think the term "VALUE" means much much much more in these interesting economic times - "VALUE" to some means cheap - I think that is changing as we plow through this economic lull.

A sign company in New Zealand suggested the band Op Shop - http://www.opshopmusic.com/ This is a great young band - very good - U2 should be worried about these guys.

Company in Houston just jumped above the rest of the pack and is in the lead. Amazing how many companies have come out of the wood work and starting ordering products....both small companies and the largest in the USA. There are some great new restaurants, bars, and things to do these days in Las Vegas - went out the other night and the most expensive place in town is now 66% less for dinner!!!

Thank you sir, you are right - this is helpful. I must admit that I am really lazy sometimes and should just go use the SEARCH function of this site to find the information I need. Maybe I will use that and will be a bit quieter....because as my fiancee says - I can be quite vocal sometimes. I guess I am. Something else to fix! Thanks for the info - truly helpful.
