  1. we need to install a pylon on rock land, any ideas?
  2. They don't certify lifts but they have specifications and standards you have to meet. The labor board and engineers here pull out the CSA 225-m88. Not sure what it is called in USA. The leveling axle gave out on this.
  3. Signworks Inc. just cleared of accident in Jan 2010 We have an accident where a JLG 80ft articulating boom tipped back and took out power wires and almost killed the operator. The results have come in from our insurance engineer and the rental companies engineer. Niether engineer can prove the equipment was safe at the time of the accident. The leveling actuators on this machine model have a history of failing. Our operator has been excused of any fault. What we have learned through all this is that the manufacturer says to follow the manual when using the lift, fact is the manual is not approved or certified by CSA or OSHA for stability and all other safety requirements. This is the second instance of bullsh*t lifts that are sold and rented to people that we have come across. Always check your equipment when you purchase from small or large companies, it takes time but you will save a life or two.
  4. i risk a bad credit rating, that is the only thing stopping payments been cut off. My credit is good now and can't risk it.
  5. my exact request was a crane at 75' and truck weight of 22,500lbs max. Exactly what was signed for on the contract. Don't let them tell you that I chose the truck. Do you install 24' pylons on a 4x4 post, no, you tell the customer it won't hold. They said no problem it should only way 20,000lbs when its done. . It ended up a 25,000lbs approx., I let it go and just upgraded my licence. It has been down hill from there.
  6. 5 months, 3 trips to Kentucky(Skylift), 7000 km, install/service done 0000000000000000000000
  7. still won't pass CSA/OSHA standards. Getting a list of what still needs to be done to get up to standards today for our people.
  8. it is a universal excuse, when its on the way here they add "maybe its stuck at canada customs for inspection"
  9. no truck on its way, something about tornado warnings and not getting through the test
  10. give them some time, it has only been 5 months and 7000km of driving
  11. to top it all off the truck is not ready or here. They have 2 days of OSHA/CSA standards testing. I HOPE TO GOD IT PASSES. It won't be tomorrow or saturday or sunday. I am told monday it will be here. I am using a 45' they gave me 2 weeks ago. 70% of the 5 months I have been with out a truck. Still I have not recieved a penny for my troubles. They have been telling everyone they have taken care of me, don't be fooled, my wife has a good job and paying the bills.
  12. truck is still not here, was suppose to be here this morning, still in Kentucky at Skylift.
  13. Back in December between Christmas and New Year they told me it was all ready, so me and my wife left the family back and drove down to Kentucky, planning to be back for new year and load the tools and go to work by Jan 3 the latest. Exported the trade truck when we drove there in December and planned to drive the new truck back. I thought it would be just a week without one of the trucks. Spent our new years in a hotel, stayed a week because they were slightly delayed in getting it ready. Sam gave us a ford focus to get back to Canada and said his guys would drop of the truck the next tuesday. We haven't been paid for the hotel, time wasted or even a simple dinner for the haslles. Since Dec it has gone back 3 times, I haven't ordered licence plates yet. I drove it 30 feet to get it out of my way at the shop yard. The truck will have 7000 km when it gets back here. I haven't been paid for any loses, they just keep sending junk to work with, I now have a 45' bucket truck, thats what $9200.00 in payments and $1500.00 insurance has got me so far.
  14. once it is finally excepted I can, but it is not in our name yet
  15. no answer from Action yet on why they prefer using the bill per minute billing and sent out half the pay.
  16. So for some reason Ted Stouch and Cassandra O'Brien rememember these names. They have only sent half the money owing and it took 4 months. Our invoice was $310 and they only paid $157.50. PREPAY WORK FOR THESE GUYS ONLY if you deal with them, "ACTION SERVICES GROUP" I guess they are no better with a new company name.
  17. great now the truck is garbage too. What engine does it have?
  18. it should be ready it 2 weeks, they say this is the last time they need it back. The "new truck" should have only 7000 km on it when it gets back. I still haven't driven it and it it needs and oil change. I am suppose to get a dinky 45' to use. Sueing is a great idea, they might just close shop if they get sued on this bill. I don't mind if people screw up, as long as have a truck to use while they fix. We'll see this afternoon if they show
  19. who's got a bucket truck or crane in Ontario Canada I can rent
  20. for the past 2 weeks Ted Stouch says he mailed it out March 26. Today he tells me he put the wrong stamp on it and has to cancel the check at the bank and then issue a new one when they get back to him. Like I never heard that excuse before on this side of the border.
