  2. Anyone know of a source for dual head lamps for small blade signs? Can't seem to find many. I'm sure I could make a custom lamps, but I'd rather not at this point. Here's one below, but it's just not that fancy enough and for the high $300 cost..... it look like a home depot slap together. Looking for something a lil "fancier"

    ISA Vegas 2019

Pics from our 2019 Vegas ISA Show. Info Here
  4. As Usual, we don't spend that much time at the actual "show". We got in Wednesday about Noon'ish. Dropped in the show to see a few people then ran out of there. Spending some quality time together was more needed than seen the "same ol" It was also the start of the NFL Draft and it was hard to pull Kirstie away from Sports bar TV's showing who was going where. We had dinner with some good friends and it's always a good mixed balance of family and work. Thursday was our "business" day and we squeezed just about everything we could the first two days. Then more playing of course Friday was our "Alone Time", phone off with only Pool Time, more NFL Draft, and more playing The ISA Show was very "Up Beat" and they did a very good job of keeping it "High Energy" up until the time you walk through the main show entry. Nothing new to see if you're a sign veteran, the floor seemed a little smaller and traffic seemed smaller compared to years past but that's not the point for NOT coming to the show. Everyone should make an effort and a point to come to the show, being in the electric sign industry you NEED to be there, PLUS.....it's a perfect venue to meet members of the Sign Syndicate that you have regular discussions with talk about the things you can't on the board. We had the pleasure to meet up with some new faces, and of course old faces. We haven't been to an ISA show in 2 years, and there was something I was reminded of. It's been two years and within that gap I tend to get too comfortable in that span, get lazy in what I do here on The Sign Syndicate. In my conversations it was good to hear about "Why" they visit, participate and find The SS is a important tool. This show served as a reminder, it served as a kick in the ass as NOT to let my/our foot off the gas. I think hearing that did Kirstie & I some good. Hearing it all only motivated me, I think that year off didn't do me any favors, when I don't skip a year the wheels keep turning, but sadly last year or the wheels stopped and went. One conversation was brought up about the National Sign Company Meet and Greet. For those that attended then you'll know it wasn't a good venue to show up to expect a good conversation with more than one National. There were a lot of lines and it was pretty much "Speed Dating". My advice, save yourself a trip next year and just simply visit our National Sign & Service Review List and just jot down all the Names and submit them a vendor package. That way you don't have to wait in line and you can reach everyone and more than are actually there and you WON'T have to waste your time meeting up with a "no-payer". No National is going to remember you or what you said to them trying to sell yourself. So I guess there is one more Orlando show left, then it's off to Georgia, ugh.....why can't Georgia just start next year?
  5. I've run into this before but it's been years. Never directly with the city but under circumstances where I'm in front of a neighborhood review design committee, you know.....where you're seeking an approval before you go to the city and you sit in front of a bunch of @s$hole long-haired hippies who have an opinion about everything other than your project and they just like to hear themselves talk. The pride swallowing situations we find ourselves just for an approval
  6. Coming Soon 9 Watt Beast 175 degree Constant Current 24 Volts 5 Year Warranty All I can say right now is WOW!! As most of the regulars that visit The Sign Syndicate know....we don't sell much on the the site here, we only bring "High-End" Electric Sign Components on board because it's our belief that ALL Custom Electric Sign Shops should be warrantying their products for 5 years from any kind of outages or failure. Otherwise if you don't have the confidence to do so, maybe you're using inferior components. This is not to say special circumstances depending on climate or conditions make that impossible. But in most cases, this industry needs to step up and guarantee the Consumer. So here is another to cater to our High-End Clientele Not many Sign Cabinet LED Products that are both 24v along are also Constant Current Driven, NOT Constant Current like most LEDs that are in this industry. Check out the size of this sucker!!! The Smaller Sister Product at 3 Watts, 24v and of course Constant Current NOT Constant Voltage The Size of this thing!!! As with most quality prisms (not use of frosted lens for a cheap wide angle) the more of an angle you look at the lens the bright it gets Alright the Numbers 659-651 Foot Candle Sign Face surface light measurement. That is FReAKISH!!! In our Great White Hope test comparison a 7.5" x 4' Width channel, double stroke EGL DL65 15mm Neon Lamp measured out to 393.5 Foot Candles on the surface. In this one foot channel we know for sure these modules will and can be stretched out much further than 1' apart, and you'll be able to get some much wider rows with TRUE competitive light NOT "Usable Light". We'll have to throw in and test some T12's and T8's to get a taste A Single 13mm Tri-Phosphor Neon lamp which already is bright as hell initially came in at 355 Foot Candles in our Great White Hope II Test. This smaller sister is coming in at 343 FC at what will look to be 3 watts per foot So far we're VERY excited for what's to come!!! Stay Tune!!!!
  7. Kenny, how come no Saturday this time? Just the scheduling unavailability or just busier during the week? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hi Lee, That is odd. I've had Hartford for about 18+ years and still have them. But they have me down under signs & graphics, which is everything from exterior, interior, etc. Do you do just vehicle graphics or others as well?
  9. Subbing.....not my line of work but, maybe for shits and giggles I'll go and take selfies with all the non payers all while having a ear to ear smile & shit eating grin on my face with them and post at a later time. I remember for that one year I volunteered at the USSC show and they had their version of a National Sign Co Meet & Greet and when I walked through to say "hi"..... I was muttering to myself knowing our review list "...they pay, they don't, they don't, they don't....THEY especially don't....he has people looking for him"
  10. I think he's jokingly referring to the National Sign Co meet and greet If only ISA checked out the credit history of those National Sign & Service companies that they have attend their function, and of course stop handing out long time achievement awards to them, especially since they continue to poorly pay their subcontractors on various projects around the country. If only...
  11. That is very heart wrenching Paul. I don't even have the words for what their son had to see and go through with his parents.
  12. Anyone going to ISA this year? It crept up so fast...well this whole last year has gone by so fast. I think this was the earliest we ever booked our room and flight, which was last October, lol
