  1. What types of screen have you tried and what was it about them that you didn't like? Have you tried tempered glass plate to lay your paper pattern under?
  2. There are still a few left at these ridiculously low prices! These will adapt to a standard Robbins metering valve (like the gas valves supplied with Daco, EGL and Transco gas transfer systems) with a simple $10.00 adaptor, which we can supply you with. $2.50 to $3.50 per liter of gas. Remaining quantities and pricing can be viewed here: http://www.svpneon.com/sale_items.html SVP Neon Equipment 113 Leventis Drive, Suite A Columbia, SC 29209-3680 Ph. 803-783-1165 www.svpneon.com Manufacturers of Quality Neon Processing Equipment
  3. To some extent. I knew Mark casually from a business standpoint. I had talked to him on the phone a few times over the years regarding neon. A mutual acquaintance who used to work for a sign company in Roanoke told me a somewhat different story as to what happened.
  4. Mark's death is truely a sad story. However, I would have to disagree somewhat with how the article said he died.
  5. What are you saying Joe? That you think there are times when city, county and state officials get "paid off" for allowing certain things? Gee, you just burst my little fantasy bubble of "Home Town America". I thought things like that only happened in movies... what a rude awakening. :nonono2: Seriously, I never thought of it the way you put it. Decades ago when I actually did small installations that was really never an issue because it was before most of the zoning codes there are now. Your take on it falls right in to place with the way most government agencies (and many private ones) run though.
  6. You caught that too, huh? I was thinking the same thing. Wonder what they would do if a major retail store (say a Wal-Mart Super Store) wanted to move in? Oh, but wait! I'm SURE they would get an exemption considering the amount of money they would be bringing to the area.
  7. Let's see, joemomma is a white guy. The asshole who got out of the car and unloaded on the guy laying on the sidewalk wasn't. Certainly not impossible that it *could* be a cousin of Joe's but I would venture to say highly unlikely I know, I know... you were just kidding. But you better be careful with those kinds of comparisons or Vinney MAY pay you a visit
  8. So much so that the damn video locked my computer up! Probably all the blocked pop-ups... That's the kind of "individuals" our society has bred. We have only ourselves to thank for it. Don't get me started, sore subject with me...
  9. I like the part about the sorryass-led virus. :D Well, sorry it didn't work out for you with the electrical contractor and hope the sign company gig is what you are looking for. I thought Steve's old plant had been set up and running some time ago - as in when I repaired that diffusion pump for Tom. Guess not. No matter, it will be there when needed. Glad to see you're okay.

  11. Congrats. Hope it turns out to be everything you want it to be - and more!
  12. Not in my mind... but to each their own
  13. Well, okay..... :Bj: :bukakke: How's that? :D
  14. I know it's a tough job for him to find just the right one, but he has set the precedent. Now he has to follow through to keep his membership happy
  15. You took away Santa's bitch, now where the hell is the New Year's Bitch... err, babe... err New Year Baby??? :bitchin:
  16. If you are able to, put it somewhere at the top of the home page that the site is under construction...
  17. That is sad. Walt is probably trying to get out of the ground...
  18. Huh what? jomamma's original post was 12-11-05. It never showed up as a new post for me until last night - 12-13-05. e.g., it was not there (for me at least) until last night when K-girl posted in this thread. I thought she was the one starting it based on what she may have seen on the other board. But when I clicked on it I saw that Joe had started it 2 days ago.
  19. How come this just popped up as being a new post for me tonight (12-13-05)? There is a thread on www.the neonforum.com in the Virtual Pub forum that talks about this.
  20. Come on Travis, do I really have to 'splain it to you? Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Christ. Well, if you are not a Christian then it may be offensive to you. To impose that on non-Christians would be politically incorrect, regardless of what this Country was founded on and based upon! The kicker is, it is a Christian holiday. If you are not Christian then why even worry about it and WHY take the day off if you don't believe in it?
  21. I salute you for not giving in to "politically correct" pressures. Hey, where's the salute smilie? Oh well, this will work...
  22. CONGRATS! :groupwave:  :party3: :smile011: :smile011:
  23. Ya see, theres ya go's. My point 'zackly. I thunked it was Soudth Kacalakie....
