  1. I wouldn't worry about it. Go ahead and post. I'll stick up for you
  2. It used to but it never worked right, so I ripped it off Just like I'm about to do with this new 'puter I got #@%&!!!
  3. You often see it written as Micro$oft (no explanation should be necessary) So why is it that when you type that spelling into an Microsoft Word document it does not pick it up as a miss-spelled word? Maybe an explanation isn't necessary...
  4. Too bad they can't get it on the ballots... If it ever came to pass there would be a lot of empty seats in DC! And that's why it will never happen
  5. Here is another suggestion: There should give us a choice for "NONE OF THE ABOVE!" What the hell would they all do when NONE OF THE ABOVE! got 80% of the votes???
  6. Didn't know there was such a thing. Am I missing something?
  7. You may want to post this on the neon-l email list. Someone asked a similar question a couple of years ago and got a wealth of info on taking pics of neon with a digital camera. Digi cams have only gotten better, so I would think the pics would too.
  8. Gotta luv it! Glad to hear it. And yeah, it DID work out for me too I sent a letter to the scum bags and copied everyone/organization listed in this thread. I guess that got their attention and realized I wasn't f***ing around with them any more. My situation involved ECHO / Merchant America online credit card processing and their associate bank First Regional Bank. I closed my account with them in Feb. and they wouldn't send me the money that was left in my account. They always had some lame excuse why they had to wait longer before they could send it. Then it got to the point where they wouldn't even return my phone calls. But guess what? 3 days after receiving my letter I got a call from the associate bank telling me a check was in the mail. I got the check the other day. It was a few dollars short (about $6), but I can live with that. The sad part is the extremes you have to go to just to get someone to live up to their agreement with you.
  9. Well, not to be a snob or rude, but we have Christmas Tree farms in South Carolina too. No Blue Spruce, but Christmas Tree farms none the less. The other difference is the "cute chicks" often have less cloths on around here during the Christmas Season. Strolling the malls "in season" can be rewarding by offering some nice eye candy
  10. LMAO! That picture reminds me of one I took the last time I was home to Jamestown, NY a few years ago. I took a picture of our red Chevy Tahoe parked outside our hotel right after a heavy snow. A year later I mentioned to my wife how much the picture had faded and there was hardly any color left in the picture - only to realize that it wasn't faded at all: That's just how gloomy and gray it was in full living color! So much so that you could barely tell the color of the Tahoe! Btw - Welcome to the site!
  11. And it is definitely good! There is the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. When you were here you missed your chance to meet the Good Yeah, the Myrtle Beach trip was a combination B-Day and anniversary getaway, with the added bonus of seeing my sister and brother-in-law. It's been a great evening. Time to hit the sack...
  12. Been together (literally) since 1993 and married since October 17, 1998. It has been a roller coaster ride sometimes, but I can say that I wish I would have found this one a loooong time ago!!! Too many :martini1: :martini1: :martini1: ... can't think straight Y'all have a great night! I am......

    Halloween neon

    From the album: Neon Signs

This is a scan of an old Polaroid snap shot, which is why it looks a little rough. This is a piece I did for fun in 1978 for my home. The kids loved it! The pumpkin is about 3-1/2 ft. wide to give you an idea of the size. Pumpkin is green filled red to get the orange color. The stem is green, but the picture has faded over the years. Pumpkin is mounted on yellow plex. Everything except the eye's, nose and mouth are painted black to cover the yellow. Ghost is 6500 Snow White.
  15. Maybe you are buying the wrong brand? The first two pairs I had were junk: Screws fell out and so did the jaws. I am still using the third pair after about 8 years. I just wish I could remember what brand they are and where I bought them...... Edit: They don't look exactly like Joe's though.
  16. A select few of us on this site call people like that 'Jack Flash'... It's an inside joke. You would have to be involved head-first in the neon end of things to understand...... <------ 'Jack Flash' (aka: Mr High Voltage). Never mind. I've been celebrating a big sale that I got today, mostly these with my lovely wife :martini1: :martini1: :martini1:
  17. Those are basically the strippers I was talking about as being the "easier" kind. If they had a built in voltage detector, like the one WCSG posted has, they would be almost perfect.
  18. Good suggestion! Anyone have an address for them handy?
  19. Congrats on getting things going your way. BTW, are the names and addresses below (which you posted previously in this thread) accurate? I am having a problem with a financial institution in CA (my former credit card processor) and can't get a response from them or get them to release my money they are holding. I'm thinking that if I send them a certified letter with copies going to the names below that may get their attention. Please let me know. Attorney General's Office California Department of Justice Attn: Public Inquiry Unit P.O. Box 944255 Sacramento, CA 94244-2550 Standing Committees Banking, Finance and Insurance: Senator Jackie Speier (Chair) State Capitol, Room 2032 Sacramento, CA 95814 Senator Dave Cox (Vice-Chair) State Capitol, Room 2068 Sacramento, CA 95814
  20. Hmmm... now I wonder who that could be?
  21. Cool! Yeah, they'll bitch. But that's a compliment too
  22. Mr. Nutting, you should be ashamed of yourself! Ye should bring thy mind out of the gutter for a breath of the fresh air.............. NOT!!!
  23. Old school thinking (which definitely has its merits in today's "only interested in bottom line profits" business mentality these days) of making it to last as long as possible. Personally I see nothing wrong with that approach and thought process. If more U.S. corporations still thought that way we would still be exporting more than we are importing instead of the other way around. Very nice replacement sign you did though.
