Couldn't sell your client on a proven light source that is efficient, bright and more green than led - NEON? Just curious why a company called Millenneon would sell an led refit.

Since coming back to Nova Scotia and getting my neon plant running full time I've been happy with the neon sales. Lots of repairs to existing signs, several neon window border installs and a few new window signs. Also did some work for a film production company. I make sure that potential clients understand that a lot of what was said by the led folks have been proven to be false. At least my product is over 90% recyclable when no longer useful.

We don't need a neon fire which would get the LED crews all worked up.

Gregory - does MET offer a sign label program in Canada? I'm running a small home-based neon and plastic sign shop and the "other guys" don't seem interested in the 25 or so window/wall mounted illuminate signs I produce each month. I'm located near Halifax, NS. Thanks

I won't even bother getting in all the details on how the Atlantic chapter of the Sign Association of Canada's participation in the neon installation regulation changes in New Brunswick allowed heavy-handed tactics to be put in place by the province (under a very anti-neon chief elec. inspector) and the overall result was a virtual wipe out of the neon industry thanks to those efforts. I'll stay as an independant shop once I get back east for good in the next year. No industry association for me or my business.

I'm working on building up my inventory of neon supplies this summer and wanted to ask if anyone has used water-based blockout paint with success. If so, can you tell me what brand you used? Thanks.
