PRO/E Drafter This position prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes for engineering or manufacturing purposes. The successful person will work as a team member with other design drafters, engineers, and suppliers on, but not limited to drafting, design layout, cost saving programs, engineering change process and other associated tasks, project organization and file management. Must utilize basic business and Microsoft product software including Word and Excel and must have 3 years experience working with Pro/E. Title of Position: Estimator Job Purpose: To estimate cost of signage per new or existing customer’s specifications and expectations, and for determining the required construction technique along with bills of materials/labor routings. Essential Job Functions: 1. Responsible for developing construction criteria, value engineering, and costs/quotes for signage programs in a timely fashion, subject to approval by sales and technical sales management. 2. Responsible for researching and recommending development of products to improve the company’s products and/or profitability. 3. Responsible for communicating changes in Production methods and procedures to other departments. 4. Responsible for developing detailed description of signage quoted and of deviations to the customer’s specifications and any potential problems that may arise. 5. Responsible for maintaining and suggesting improvements to all estimating systems, including related software and process flows. 6. Responsible for recommending suggestions on improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the department and of the company as a whole.
