  1. It's a new ride that is opening in a couple of weeks. It's the best ride we have so far. I rode it the other day when they were testing it. Basically, it's a robot arm with a couple of seats attatched to the end of it. Have you ever seen a car manufacturing plant that uses robot arms to weld and move parts? That's what they are. It has a reach of 16' in each direction. It has 4 "knuckles" (I think) that let it spin in different directions 360 degrees. Here is a picture of the one in Germany : http://www.happybeagle.com/images/europe/d...r-builder-2.jpg If you google "Power Builder" under images you will get some more pictures of it. It's the first one built in North America. You really have to see it in person to do it justice. Also, you can pick your "intensity" from 1-5. 1 just goes in a circle with no flipping, 5 is like a car wreck. -Marek
  2. Anyone out yet? I couldn't do it by myself. PM me for hints if you want them. Tell me what items you have so far and I will help you with the next thing you need. -Marek
  3. There's another room after that. I'll post it when you figure this one out. -Marek
  4. I'm going to look into the seminars next week and see if there are any I am interested in. I'll let you know what day I'll be heading up there. My work will pay me to go so I might as well take advantage of that. Let me know if you decide on a day Erik. -Marek
  5. I'm not sure what the place looks like, but that's probably it. You ever watch those pro's that jetski in the surf? They were doing it in Oceanside one year when I was surfing. They were doing barrel rolls and flips and stuff. It was insane. I remember pulling into a little backside barrel and looking out down the line and seeing a guy launching his jetski over the wave. It's just one of those memories that won't ever leave my mind. -Marek
  6. something to keep you busy..... Let me know if you need hints... -Marek
  7. haha...I remember the first little bird I shot with a BB gun. It was sitting on a tree branch and when I shot it, it fell over but it's feet still held onto the branch for a second so it swung like a pendulum before dropping to the ground. I would have been sad for killing something if it wasn't so damn funny. I also remember having a neighborhood gun fight with some neighbors that me and my friends didn't like and they didn't like us. The problem was their house was between my house and my friends so we always had to pass by them. This was in the "sticks" too so there weren't many neighbors to break anything up. We had about a half hour gun battle one afternoon. We were using anything we could find for cover and throwing anything we could at them. When we finally heard one of them say "ouch" we made our break and ran past their defenses. I don't think I will ever let my kids own BB guns. Maybe those soft pellet guns. Erik, were you talking about Dolphin Tank? I've never surfed out there..only accesible by boat right? You still paddling out? -Marek
  8. I'll have to get it from my Dad before he officially retires down to Baja at the end of the year. They don't like guns down there, especially if you're a gringo. Erik, my buddy has a dock down in a lagoon in Carlsbad if you need somewhere to keep your jet-ski's. It's salt water though so probably not the best place to store them. Do you ride in Mission Bay? -Marek
  9. My Dad used to take me duck hunting on my Uncles' farm in England. I was too young to shoot any, but it was fun going with them. I've done some range shooting with shotguns, but like Erik says, there is not much hunting here in southern California. Beaver (tail) hunting is about all we do here. I'm trying to talk my Dad into selling (giving) me his 12-gauge shotgun. It's really nice, double barrell over/under style with a nice engraving on the side of some ducks. I'd just put a trigger lock on it and hang it over my fireplace next to the 6' long bull horns. -Marek
  10. All the ADA stuff was done offsite. When I started all the bathrooms and stuff were already here so I haven't had a chance to do any. I have read a little on it but I would need to do a lot more research before trying anything. Like I said, just let me know when you want to check it out. No big deal getting you in, I don't think they know you here yet. -Marek
  11. Is Jamie your rep from Regal? That's who we got it from. It's easily scratched when moving it around in the shop, you can't mark it with a pencil, grease pencil works good. You can't sand it. Saw marks show up. It cuts like butter on the router though. Just make sure to empty out your vacuum or you'll have confetti all over your shop like I did. Let me know when you want to check out the park. I'll put you down on will-call with as many tickets as you need. -Marek
  12. My "real" job is at LEGOLAND, in the sign shop. I just did a bunch of plaques for one of the events we had recently. I cut a lot of stuff for the carpenters. They were making a shade structure for one of the rides out of 3/4 "playground" plastic and I cut all their window trims and stuff out of the plastic. Any templates they need I will cut those. We have an area here called "waterworks", it's basically just an area for kids to get wet and mess around. Some of the controls for the interactive buttons and stuff were really beat up so I re-designed them and cut them out of that plastic. They turned out really clean looking. Here are some pictures of them.WaterWorks I think I am going to mess around today and cut out some dimensional letters out of sign foam for a new ride we are opening up in a couple of weeks and see if I can hand shape them. We are a little under staffed here so I try to fit in "fun" projects when I can, but most of the time it's boring stuff. -Marek
  13. I'm at the definate maybe point right now. My work has sent me the last couple of years. I'm going to have to look at the education part of it this year and see if there is anything worth taking. -Marek
  14. The problem is the font I was trying to use was not a gerber supplied font. I converted it with their font converter which doesn't let you adjust the character spacing. You can adjust it on their fonts. -Marek
  15. :yippee: I think I have my answer from another site. Thanks anyways. -Marek
  16. I am trying to set up a file for engraving on our Dimension 200 router. I am using Omega 2.0 to set it up. I am having trouble setting the character spacing. I am clicking on the "Character Spacing" tool and it gives me the two handles on the characters to stretch them out, but when I let go of the handles it goes back to how it was. Any ideas? I've never been able to get it to work, what am I doing wrong? I read through all the info on the "help" file but no luck. Thanks in advance. -Marek
  17. Jet Wen, Did you ever go to Neverland Ranch when you were little? -Marek
  18. What's small and brown and found in little kids' pants? M.J.'s hand
  19. I'm almost dissapointed I went to Canada for a week. Sounds like I missed some fun. -Marek
  20. Got a link to where to get the fonts? -Marek
  21. Old Avatar, new here. I think my hair looks nice in it. :afro: j/k My niece got to go on court last night as one of the "high-five kids". She was excited as it was her first basketball game. We had 4th row seats too so we were right up front for the action (If you can call a Clippers game that). I emailed Barb at Letterville to see if I can get activated, not sure if I will ever post there though. I'll try to lurk and let people get to know me first. -Marek
  22. I'm kind of glad my registration hasn't gone through yet. I might of had a thing or two to say. I think it is funny how everyone wants people to "hover and let people get to know you". What does that have to do with awnings? I think people take things too litterally on the web. It is easy to mis-interperate something that is typed and not said in person. Well I'm off to watch the #1 basketball team in L.A. (Clippers) play the Utah Jazz. Won some tickets...hopefully they are good seats. -Marek
  23. I'm lost..... I tried applying 3 times now to letterville...first time I got an email with what I did wrong, changed it. Emailed them twice since. No response. Not really sure what this has to do with your comment though. -Marek
