The offered position is at an entry / junior level and the candidate should have some knowledge of the sign industry (environmental graphic design), manufacturing techniques, as well as computer skills with proficiency in Illustrator CS3, Indesign CS3 or greater, web design (dreamweaver, flash) a huge plus and should be eager to learn. Hi Nick, My name is Kyle Wolfe. Currently I am the design director to a medium sized sign shop in the Boston are of Mass. I have held this position for 2 years now. Prior to this position I was a design engineer at DCL in Boston MA and was so for 3 years. I have created hundreds of shop drawings from concept renderings to full shop drawings with hardware spec's etc. While at DCL I was the Design Engineer for The New World of Coca Cola, the new MGM Grand at Foxwoods, I consulted on all the signage for the new Yankee Stadium. While at my current role at Sunshine Sign I have designed complete wayfinding packages for Lasell College which we are just starting to fabricate as well as campus building interiors at WPI, Framingham State University, Bentley College and Cambridge Rindge and Latin School to name a few. Now that I am working at my place of employment we do all the design in house. They used to outsource a bunch when they were busy but I have built a department in house now. It is the only way to have consistent design and fabrication technique. When keeping things in house you can use your own file system so if the job comes back around it is all saved in the proper location with cut files for router and graphics. When they outsourced before no one saved anything correctly and so I am now being burdened by old jobs that weren't saved properly. I certainly wouldn't mind picking up freelance work to help other companies with overflow or with design in general though. It is good to know that others can survive just doing work for other shops.

I would work on the project without any hesitation. To me it isn't about the money. It is about the principles of what the United States stands for. We as a people stand for equality. These aren't the same people who crashed the plane into towers. Most muslims are very peaceful educated people. Most religions seem to have a far right that takes scripture way to far. I could get much deeper into it but this is a topic like gun control or abortion. This will remain my opinion and I by no means would try and convince others they are wrong.
