Trans-Lux Receives NYSE Amex Notice of Delisting for Non-Compliance

NORWALK, Conn., Sep 21, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Trans-Lux Corporation /quotes/comstock/14*!tlx/quotes/nls/tlx (TLX 0.47, 0.00, 0.00%) , a leading supplier of programmable electronic information displays, today announced that the Company received a notice dated September 14, 2010 from the NYSE Amex ("Exchange") advising that the Company no longer complies with three of the Exchange's continued listing standards and that its securities are, therefore, subject to being delisting from the Exchange.

Specifically, the Company is not in compliance with Section 1003(a)(ii) of the Exchange's Company Guide in that it has stockholder equity at June 30, 2010 of less than $4.0 million and losses from continuing operations and net losses in its three of its four most recent fiscal years ended December 31, 2009, Section 1003(a)(iii) of the Exchange's Company Guide in that it has stockholder equity at March 31, 2010 of less than $6.0 million and losses from continuing operations and net losses in its five most recent fiscal years ended December 31, 2009 and Section 1003(a)(iv) of the Company Guide in that it is financially impaired.

The Corporation has appealed this determination and requested a hearing before a committee of the Exchange. There can be no assurance the Company's request for continued listing will be granted.

We are ready to install our first Trans Lux unit. After some initial confusion about installation, it seems to be a pretty easy set up. We went with TransLux because - well, timing is everthing. John Macley (sorry if I spelled your name wrong, John!), TransLux sales, stopped by our shop. TransLux had a unit that was in our clients price range and the right size, so there you go.

I have a question - why are all the electronic message centers sold with serial ports instead of USB ports? Try finding a new computer with serial ports..... Just wondering.
