Signs Of The Times - October 2010 Issue

Much better job this month, If I remember right this is an old article? Think I've seen it before.

Anyway, this is a good article when it comes to light sources, no need to read every other word, no need to strap on the boots to walk through the marketing BULLSHIT.

Here is the keyword here and some truth, truth I haven't seen in a while in a trade magazine (unless I'm quoted in one, and that usually happens in OTHER trade magazines), "We always knew we would light this sign with LEDs. The layers of illumination this job required would've made fluorescents or neon tubing impractical."

"Impractical" - Honesty and spoken like a true professional. This man gets a beer from me if I see/meet him in Vegas next year.

Notice he said, "impractical", not "Because other light sources have mercury", or "We are trying to save the planet one step at a time", and not, "We are saving our client 60%-80% of energy consumption and they are saving thousand of dollars annually, and we are curing cancer at the same time".

Impractical, as in "a better choice", "it makes more sense", "it's common sense to use LEDs for this application."
