I am just lost about the invisible post. I have seen the stuff on SW. Pretty funny. Someone really likes to make a point about being from England.

Hey I'm Welsh by the way, but I'm not a d1ck.

-Marek

Marek, dicks come (no pun intended) in all sizes (again) and nationalities. Not all English are dicks and there are probably some Welsh dicks. ilevel is an exhibitionist. He gets his jollies exposing himself as a dick. He probably makes sales calls in a trench coat.

I've been going to the boards at signindustry.com for some time now, and this lunatic showed up there today. It sort of led me to here, so I joined up. It takes all kinds, I guess, so what's a poor signman to do. Nice meeting you, everybody. :hititsmileygreen:

If anybody has the stomach, send a little thank you note to the lunatic for sending Randy (and others, I'm sure) our way. Welcome aboard, Randy. If you think that guy's a lunatic, you'll fit right in here.

Mike, judging from your picture I would have to say you rode the short yellow bus and wrote with pencil. :freak:

Now for all you bible thumpin, tree huggin, animal lovin, vegitarian folks out there. Go beat a ten year old and lighten up. I do it all the time and I feel much better about myself. That is until one of them got the better of me. It has been a bad day.

Man I figured I would have some good comments about this by now. I guess folks either didnt get it, didnt think it was funny or just plain didnt care. Oh well worth a shot.

 Welcome to the clan... err group :D

Btw, if you think neon is boring, archaic, outdated or any other overly negative implication and you can't stop telling everyone here how bad it is, you may not fit in here! :laughing1:

Thanks, everybody, for the welcomes. I got nothing bad to say about neon. I bent tubes for a while myself.

Little bit about myself?

I am 47, married, and drive a Honda SUV that sucks so much gas it's incredible. It has a nice stereo in it though. I have a degree in art from a smallish midwestern university, and have been in the sign business for almost twenty years now, working for North American Signs in South Bend, IN for the last 15 years. I have done just about everything that there is to do in the business, and I'm now in national sales and account management. I don't exactly get my hands dirty very much anymore, this is a union shop and I could get in trouble for that sort of thing. I still make art at home, and play the guitar and harmonicas. I used to have a blues band, but that's a hectic life and really hard to keep things in priority with a bunch of blues musicians. So now I play to a tape recorder in my living room mostly.

At work I manage sign programs for clients accross the country, get to do a bit of traveling, and I don't ever really have to get bored. This job is stressful sometimes, but it seems I'm now a junkie for it, I love the sign business. If somebody tells me how I'll post some photos on here someday soon.

Anyways, thanks again for the welcomes, talk you ya'.......

    • Yes, that happens.   With these corporations, someone new gets in the purchasing department and they go with whoever is 10 cents cheaper.
    • Maybe you can get the installation part of it.  Again they are all about the bottom dollar and want to know your hourly rate.  Then they decide what is being installed and how long it should take you to do it . They were great customers and we did a lot of business with them, Management changes and different ideas and values are now in place
    • Thanks Paul   I don't really expect to get this job becasue i'm probably too high.   i quoted it to the property owner but we'll see what happens.   Rocco
    • We used to build CubeSmart Signs and Install them as a total package Then They wanted everything broken down specifically to the dollar. At this time. it s all priced based and its open sign season to everyone
