It's only a matter of time before the greenies tell us what to eat/wear/drive/..... I have found that the CFL's I bought for my home are sooooooo sucky for lighting I have to turn on more lamps so I can see. And this statement from the article just kills me -

"They acknowledge that the mercury in compact fluorescents is a problem, but note that it is not much, that it is constantly being reduced, that it is far less than is emitted by power plants, and that solid state lighting will soon replace it anyways."

It really isn't much - in one bulb. That must be why we have to pay to have our fluorscents recycled by companies that can deal with the mercury inside them - and it's considered hazardous waste.

The Light Wars are almost over. Come 1.1.11 they end.

We are constantly shocked how people always throw out the old technology and forget it was got us through so much.

I always say before you move forward do not forget how you got here. So often people forget what got them to the place where they are.
